Just works. Plugged it into USB3, and the HDMI attached camera simply works everywhere I want to use it, like OBS Studio, Zoom, etc...

First i was a little skeptical of the magewell hdmi adapter, but after a few months of use, it has performed quite well. It does get hot, so i unplug when not in use. The magewell worked well with the native streaming from Youtube and Facebook through the browsers and it also works well OBS studio. The Roland V-1HD is quite simple to use and our operators were able to get to speed with it pretty quickly. My only gripe with the switcher is that it is pretty intolerant of inputs that do not conform to the format it is expecting to receive. Once i found that out, i was able to correct that by ensuring all of my cameras were set to 1080 30P. That ended up forcing an upgrade on an older camera that wasnt able to output 1080 30P. The V-1HD was able to work with that cameras 540P or 1080I outputs, but it required a level of effort that our newer cameras didnt need. In end, we just upgraded the older camera. The V-1HD also has an audio mixer built, but i found the inputs seemed to auto adjust the signal levels despite having a manual adjustment on the side of the switcher. it could have been something within my set up as i had too use a xlr camera adapter to convert the 2 channel xlr input to 3.5MM stereo in order to connect to the Roland. While the audio was acceptable, i resolved this purchasing a Dante AVIO usb adapter and just routing sound independent of the switcher to OBS studio. i still use the native audio from the switcher as a back up feed in OBS.

USE: We run a couple of these cameras in our small (100 ppl) church. The cameras are running via USB (~50ft cable runs) with a USB splitter, and our congregation has been very pleased with the quality of the image for live-streaming. We pre-program scenes for each camera in OBS studio and use our presentation software to trigger MIDI signals which translate to key presses in OBS studio to control which scene/camera is shown, making it extremely operator-friendly. We installed the first of these cameras in 2020 for live-streaming services during the COVID shutdowns and it has worked great for more than a year. Because the automatic settings on the camera are perfect for the sanctuary environment and the pre-programming of our system is already set up, it takes less than 30 minutes to add in an additional camera to expand the system. As the title of this review says, the cameras work so well that we bought another. And we may continue to add more in the future as our church keeps growing.

I've been using a Behringer UMC 202HD for years and have been very happy with it, but I sometimes clip and wanted to the Meters on the Motu to help me monitor & adjust levels better while live. The M2 does that just fine but here's the problem it really solved. I construct scenes in OBS for various scenarios and use OBS as a virtual camera into zoom, meet, teams etc.... as well as for recording training videos. OBS does a great job at that, but getting audio out of OBS over to Zoom and others is a complicated affair even with the new plugins. The Motu has a self installed Loopback feature and now I can do anything I want in OBS and virtual camera will take the video over and for Microphone setting I just select Motu M2 Loop Back, and it broadcasts my mic, desktop or any other audio I might be playing. I fought with Zoom OBS for years and the answer was right here with the M2. It sounds great, is feature packed and simply works as advertised.

This is a great PTZ camera for the money. The camera has much to offer in terms of functionality and quality. We are using it to live-stream church services. We stream on of six locations within the church - four of which are 30 - 40 feet from where the camera is mounted. The other two are 8 and 15 feet. Great picture quality at all six presets. In addition to joystick controls, the remote control, and the web-browser interface, the camera can also be operated through an HTTP API. With a little help from tech support, we are using the api with OBS software such that scenes in OBS command the camera to the appropriate preset. Tech support at AVIPAS responds quickly and knowledgeably.

I use this with OBS to overlay different camera shots for the production of online courses. Color is consistent throughout the screen, it pops up nice and tight with no major wrinkles, folds up easily (google it and watch the videos). Some lighting evenly over the surface makes post production work snap.

This was super easy and worked right away. Using it to record a professional camera via OBS running on an iMac. Best part is that it captures audio so I can use XLR mics.

This camera is great! It is not one of the most feature rich, but to me it matched exactly what I needed, and paired with obs, a couple of obs plugins and an app called touchportal, I am now able to do complex scene transitions and even animations between this camera and a fixed wide-shot camera with the click of a button. If you will buy this, do take extra care with the lower-than-normal max zoom level and tilt extents (to me it was perfectly fine, but it may not be for you)
