Odyssey Oled G9 Gaming Monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently upgraded to the Samsung 32” Odyssey OLED G8 Gaming Monitor, and the difference is nothing short of spectacular. The color quality is awesome, thanks to the OLED technology. Unlike normal LED screens that go to a dark gray when displaying black, this monitor achieves true black by turning the pixels all the way off. This contrast creates a more vivid and immersive viewing experience. The HDR support further enhances the color, making games and videos look even more lifelike. The monitor itself is massive compared to my old one, which means I can only run one monitor due to the size of my desk. But honestly, with a screen this impressive, I don't feel like I need a second monitor. One of the standout features is the 240Hz display. This high refresh rate lets my new beefy computer perform at its best, allowing for up to 240 frames per second. My old monitor could only handle 144Hz, so the jump to 240Hz has made gaming incredibly smooth. The difference in gameplay is noticeable, especially in high-impact games where graphics are a key selling point. The monitor also comes with its own USB output, which is super handy for plugging in a charger directly. Another great feature is the onboard media center, allowing me to install apps like Netflix and stream shows with the same stunning color quality and fidelity. Great product, works as intended. Works perfectly with my Odyssey G9. One thing to note is when trying to just the viewing angle of the monitor itself be sure to raise the G9s angle higher than intended as the mounting bracket that comes with the G9 hangs at a slight angle. This makes it so the monitor itself will adjust to a lower angle naturally. Correct this by overcompensating vertically so it falls into the correct position when you tighten the tension arm.

Obviously the graphics is much older then the new monitors out like the G9 but if your starting out this works well. I love the vertical and horizontal swivel. Good for reading comments when broadcasting. I paired it with my G9 and its great!

Even though it has HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, it's not fully compatible with the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S The contrast ratio is very good, and the curved screen size makes for an immersive gaming experience.
