Office Depot Ethernet Cable Adapter

We use this in our office to stream HD videos to our lobby for our clients to watch while they wait. The ethernet adapter and faster processer make it possible to stream in higher quality that a regular Chromcast over wifi.

I purchased this to increase the WiFi coverage in my house. I was considering purchasing 2, but started with 1 just to see the coverage. Overall, I get about 25% better signal at each end of the house with this set up in the center so an improvement over the WiFi router my ISP provides. I have basic networking experience and the software was a breeze to setup. I really think anyone could do it, but give yourself a good 15 mins to click around and understand their web interface. I simply plugged an ethernet cable into my existing WiFi router, then into the PoE adapter that came with the AP. Then just ran a second ethernet cable from the PoE adapter to the AP. Mounted it on a wall with their hardware and was done, took less than 5 min total.

I needed to attach an Ethernet cable to a MacBook (of course no ports on the MacBook) so I got this with an adapter so I could use the cable and then the adapter with USB to plug into the laptop. Once the correct driver was installed for the MacBook / adapter all worked great. Instructions for all could be better. Thanks to B&H for super advice and support!

I'm using this with my Macbook Air that only has USB-C ports and no ethernet port. This adapter worked right out of the box to give me an ethernet connection. Just plugged the ethernet cable in to the adapter, connected the adapter to the CPU's USB-C port, and my computer connected to my work network flawlessly. The wifi at my work is not great, so this adapter is giving me a fast network connection now through ethernet. I did a speed test and I'm getting approximately 500mbps upload/download speeds with this adapter, which is fantastic. I also appreciate that the adapter has LED indicators. One light shows there is a connection (green). The middle light shows there is power (White/blue). And the 3rd light blinks orange to show there is activity. Having these lights could come in handy if I need to trouble shoot, which is very helpful. The build quality is also really good. This feels like it will last a long time. The cable seems sturdy and the ethernet cable plugs in securely into the adapter's port. Overall, I'm happy with this adapter and it is working very well. I’m working on archiving slides at work. I checked Amazon and Office Depot but they didn’t have what I was looking for or they were too pricey. B&H offered several options and slide sleeves and the ones I bought were perfect. The website was easy to order from; the package even showed up a day early. I’m actually ordering more slide sleeves.
