If you haven't jumped into the mirrorless bandwagon, this is the perfect ticket. Amazing viewfinder, and the camera just feels right in my hands. Love it!

The Nikon Z6 is a fantastic camera. I purchased a Nikon D7100 6 years ago which has been great and I was looking to upgrade to a full frame FX camera. I never thought about going mirrorless until I saw that there was a great deal on the Z6 at B&H. The mirrorless cameras have the same benefits as the DSLRs with a few differences. They are smaller, lighter, have a larger lens mount (Z Mount), and the electronic viewfinder allows you to see you're image in real time before you even take the picture. There is also no mirror slap which makes the shutter less noisy and reduces camera shake. A few drawbacks for me is that there is no built in flash which means there is no way to trigger an external flash without an add on flash trigger system, and there is no internal focus motor which means you have to focus manually if you use a lens without a built in focus motor. I must say that the focus peaking highlights which allows you to manually focus by viewing the screen or viewfinder and watching what area the camera highlights works phenomenally and I had no problem focusing my 50mm Nikkor f/1.4 manually under normal conditions. However, this would be in issue if trying to shoot something fast paced like sports/ action with a manual focus lens. All in all these few minor setbacks would not warrant me rating this camera less than 5 stars. My experience with the Nikon Z6 has been nothing but positive. I feel that Nikon has continued their trend of crafting fine camera equipment and I believe this Nikon Z6 will stand the test of time in extreme conditions just like my other Nikons have in the past.

This camera is AMAZING. The low light performance, the ability to go mirrorless or use optical viewfinder, the quality of the raw files, the deep menus with lots of choices to customize: itʻs a great camera that puts out a stunning product.   I have had several Nikons and this D780 is hands down my favorite. I prefer it to the D850 (supposedly a better camera but not in my humble opinion) and the D7500 (not a better camera so maybe not fair to compare).  It is bigger and heavier than the D7500, but that size gives you so much more power that it is worth it. Iʻm pleased with the 24-120 lens as well, especially since this combo allows you to buy the lens for only $500 (itʻs normally $1,100).

For my recent third trip to India in 3 years (with Olympus photographer John Isaac) , I wanted two lightweight cameras, and I already owned the E420, so the Pen E-PL1 was the perfect second camera. Not ordering the viewfinder was a mistake, as I couldn't see the LCD when the sun shone on it. Fortunately, another traveler loaned me his viewfinder most of the time, and I have since purchased my own. I specialize in lightweight packing, and this 3-week trip required clothing for both cold and hot weather. I checked only one bag weighing 25 lbs, and carried only my 13 notebook computer and my VERY lightweight camera bag. Volume and weight are important to me, so the Pen was perfect for this trip. A few years ago, my little SP350, which shot RAW, was stolen; this little camera more than replaces it and I carry it everywhere, even when I run!

I use this bag with my Olympus E-P2 camera, 14-42, 17 pancake and 9-18 lenses, and FL-14 flash, extra camera battery, extra flash batteries, lens brush, extra camera strap and the Oly electronic viewfinder. All fits well and the camera can easily and quickly be put into the bag with the 9-18 and flash or viewfinder attached. This is the perfect bag for Oly M4/3 cameras in many ways. When strapped over sholder and head with the strap going across the chest, it really doesn't look like a camera bag. The velcro flap is even roomy enough to fold over a gorillapod and keep it secure. The strap has plenty lenght to allow enough adjustment to make it comfortable to pack for an all day excursion.
