I originally started with the Olympus 75-300 ii. While I liked that lens a decent amount, the Panny offers a bit more in terms of speed (F4-5.6), and also for the Dual IS on my compatible Lumix camera, the G9. Oh, and weather sealing and 3 year warranty! The results are pretty great so far, though I haven't been able to use it that much just yet due to the weather. It's a sizeable lens for m43, but it's tiny compared to the FF equivalent. I like the way it handles on the G9. The whole camera feels very balanced, and the Dual IS means I can get a clear shot almost down to 1s shutter (of something not moving, of course). Another pro is that it comes with a hood, something the O75-300ii doesn't. So far, I like what I see. 5 |

I love my Kodak PIXPRO FZ55 Digital Camera (Blue)!!!! I give it a 5 star rating!!!!! I love the color of Blue!!!! I just have to learn how to use it. The only thing that I did not like was IT DID NOT HAVE AN OWNER'S MANUAL with it!!! Why do you not include a Owner's Manual????? How are you to learn about the camera & how to use it if there is no manual????? Otherwise I love it!!!! Include an owner's manual with each camera so customers can learn how to operate their new cameras!!!!! 5 |

I'm an old-school 35mm film kind of guy, but eventually graduated to digital about 10 years ago. I've found the miniature point & shoots are capable of producing great results for every day shots and when travelling, but, of course, typically lack the ability to be creative. When the Micro Four Third cameras gained more popularity with semi-professionals and serious amatuers, I loved the idea of acquiring a compact camera with manual controls, a relatively large sensor, capable of using interchangeable lenses. Initially, I planned on buying a Panasonic GF-1, but when it was discontined (what a huge blunder that was), I looked more seriously at the Olympus line-up. With the added refinements and new features the E-PL2 offers over the E-PL1, it was a no-brainer. I've had it just a week and am still reading the manual every night -- trying to get a grip on the incredible capabilities of this camera. I'm heading to Honolulu in 3 weeks and can't wait to use it there. The engineers at Olympus have done a magnificent job in terms of style, design, control layout, and overall build quality. Buying the E-PL2 was one of the smartes purchases I've ever made. 5 |

This product adapts OM manual focus lenses to micro four thirds(m43) bodies. Must use an auto exposure setting as there are no electronics in/on adapter. The machining, fit, and finish of this product apear to be top notch. Fit to lens and camera are snug but not to tight, with no play on either side. I am using mine on an OM-D EM-5, and I am excited to say once the camera is configured for manual focusing it is very satisfying to use. The Olympus's 5-axis stabilization combined with the high resolution electronic view finder truly make using the fine old Olympus glass a pleasure. Seems to be at its best with normal to telephoto lenses. In short it's a must for me. I love it. 5 |

I mounted this lens on my m43 Olympus. Mainly as a landscape lens and possibly in my underwater housing for wide angle. I either select aperture priority and only fuss with the f-stop and focus or manual mode and adjust shutter speed as well. It is a complete pleasure to use something this good that is exactly what it claims to be. Wide, sharp and fast. Built like a tank. Because it is a manual lens there is no lens data going to the camera. No autofocus, no auto aperture, no in camera lens distortion corrections. On the Olympus I enable focus assist. Magnify set to 7x and Peaking to Yellow to help get focus. On the 2x crop sensor you get corner to corner sharp at f2 with a pleasant blurred background. At f8 everything is in focus and sharp. Did I say this lens is sharp on the m43 sensors? f16 is useable but beyond that...nope. There are other 12mm f2 lenses out there for the m43 systems but the price of this beauty is so good I really couldn't justify paying twice as much. I've also tried a few legacy manual lenses. I enjoy using them especially for video but the image quality is just not on par. One caveat. My first instinct as with all of my lenses was to attach a protective uv filter. Taking a close look at the bulbous front element I believe a screw on filter would contact the front element if screwed down far enough. I hope this is helpful. 5 |

I have this type of folding lens hood for my Canon film camera and wanted the same type of lens hood for my Olympus digital camera that I use quite a bit, as I didn't care for the hard lens hood it came with. I also ordered the wide angle lens hood for the digital also, but haven't used that one yet. With the 'folding rubber lens hood', I can leave it on my camera all the time, till I'm ready to use it. I've used it when taking close up shots of flowers and it helps with blocking the glare. I would recommend this product to anyone that wants something quick and easy to use. 5 |
