Olympus Waterproof Point And Shoot Camera

Mates well with my Olympus E-410. Allows the convenience of a point and shoot camera. Reduces the I am a tourist look of a camera hanging on your chest. Well made and very sturdy.

The Olympus E-PL1 is a superb little camera. I use it in two modes: as a point-and-shoot for family and general snapshooting, and as a camera back for a Nikkor Zoom 35-70 mm f/2.8 lens in fully manual operation. As a point and shoot it is easy to use and makes basically good photos. I have the 14-42 mm zoom lens on it. Everything is programmable. Turn on and use the Super Control Panel (SCP). I use the Nikkor for its superb optical quality. I adapt it with a dumb Nikon to Micro Four Thirds adaptor. I get the full capability of the Nikkor lens with the Olympus body. Even the inertial stabilization works with the Nikkor lens. The Olympus body is my choice for replacing the original Nikon film body.

The quality of pictures from Canon PowerShots just cannot be beat. I've seen and used other point and shoot cameras from olympus and nikon and they don't even compare. I finally upgraded to a new canon from my old Canon PowerShot SD300 and was not disappointed!

I use this to carry my Olympus Tough Series digital point 'n shoot. It is perfect for the purpose. Ventilation allows the camera to dry, and the rubbery material gives it a little bit of cushioning against shocks.

I use this to hold my waterproof Olympus Tough TG-2 while kayaking. Everybody who sees it marvels at the uncomplicated and easy to use design, which allows solid hands-free filming but also drops the camera face down at pull of a tab to turn video on/off, check images, or frame a still, zoom, etc. I tell them it is just as great as it looks. Feels totally comfortable and secure, fits smoothly overtop of my life jacket with good range of adjustment, gives me needed access with no fuss detaching from screw mount to hand camera to others. My one suggestion for improvement: make screw mount bolt from stainless, rustproof materials. Very hard to clean out all water after a day of action, and grease or oil don't mix with my camera or other apparel. Overall I would say this rig beats GoPro hands down, and others who see me using it agree. (I did try GoPro system first, sent it back). This one is a keeper!

I wanted a simple, nice-looking, responsive, waterproof bag for carrying just a camera with a lens attached. There needed to be room for a spare SD card, battery and lens cloth. In my case the camera and lens in question is an Olympus OM-5 (they are all the same size) and Olympus 12-40mm f2.8. This fits perfectly with room for pretty much nothing else - and that's what I had in mind. I'm not sure Think Tank is still making these but they are good.
