One Control Midi Hammer Review

The Hammer 88 is a no frills MIDI controller with a nice weighted action. Construction seems solid. A pretty good buy for the price. 5 |

I had the Keylab61 MKII, but needed the hammer-action keys for orchestral arrangments, and just because I like the feel of a real piano. I read reviews that said the action is heavy, it is, but not in a bad way. Most real pianos I have played have a heavier action so maybe I am used to it. Connectivity: Yeah, it's amazing with Cubase. I found a script online and I was off to the races. I open up the MIDI control center and adjust some user defined MIDI CC presets for a lot of my orchestral VST's, and easy peasy. Build Quality: The Komplete Kontrol everyone hems and haws about is plastic and more expensive, it also doesn't integrate as well as they would like you to believe. This thing is metal, and beautiful with wood accents. No, you don't get a big LCD screen, like I need another screen, I have two 32 screens already. Bottom line, if you want something that you can feel expressive on, has all the MIDI sliders and knobs you need to fiddle about, or make your orchestral arrangements sound more realistic, this is it. I love my Arturia. They are like teenage engineering but affordable. 5 |

One of the best midi controllers I have ever used. I am able to control my euro rack to my computer and everything in between. Awesome 5 |

I use the product to control Ableton Live and Reason and it is spectacular! It lets me have great hands-on control, the keys are amazingly expressive, the drum pads are great, and sliders are awesome too. This is for sure a great MIDI keyboard and easily compares to any MIDI keyboard out there. One con though is that the encoders are a little loose feeling, but it's not bad once you get used to it. 5 |

The Korg nanoKontrol Studio is one of the USB MIDI keyboards certified for use with a Sound Device MixPre 10ii recorder. It connects to the USB-C port of the MixPre, and is automatically recognized and configured. The faders and start/stop controls are marked and permanently configured, as are the record and mute buttons. The dials control the trim, low cut frequency and pan settings, depending on the selected scene. It's all very straight-forward for real time control, superior in every way to the tiny knobs and endless menus of the MixPre. 5 |

For the price, the korg sq-1 can't be beat. I can use this to control all my synths including a Moog sub phatty, arturia minibrute, kawai k1 and a korg volca beats. Its compact, sturdily built and can be used with both midi and cv. It comes with 2 aa batteries (it can be powered by batteries or usb) and a midi to 1/4 input converter. I only wish it had come with some patch cables in order to readily be used to sequence via cv. I made the mistake of assuming it came with and i had to run out and buy some. Otherwise i am very pleased with the sq-1 and would highly recommend it. 5 |

Does literally everything you could want in a midi utility device including midi over wifi with no noticable latency, advanced midi translations, and up to 30 usb port extention to stack and rout all of your midi usb devices, you can control it remotley with a computer, ips device or rasbery pi, I programed my rasbery pi to control the system with all of my bomeboxes and comuputers sending and receiving midi, all of midi device are accessible by any other midi device or computer on my studios network, truley a gamechanger! 5 |

using this to control Resolume Video software playback with midi controls. Does just what is needs to. construction is a bit lightweight, but this will stay in one location all the time, so durability not as much of an issue. 5 |

I’ve used a bunch of midi controllers and cables in recent years but I’m really enamoured with the flexibility from this wireless midi control. I use this with a P-95 and my iPad (haven’t tried with my laptop) and it’s been an ideal set up. Highly recommend! 5 |
