I'm not a sound guy, so ease of use for 1-man-band situations is critical. The stock mic with my sennheiser packs...not good at all. SO much handling noise, tinny sound. This thing is sweet - cuts great with the MKH-50 overhead, super easy to place with minimal rustle. You get what you pay for, and this mic is my top-pick for the Sennheiser packs - makes the fairly cheap radio system sound GOOD. 5 |

I am a one-man band so lightweight, compact, and rugged is what I am always looking for in my equipment. I am also 75 years old going and my hands are shot from carrying heavy cases for the last 40 years. That is why I appreciate the tripods excellent ergonomic design for old hands. Just a note to all your young people out there... if you're carrying heavy equipment every day make sure you get a pair of good stage hand gloves. The legs extend to a higher position than most tripods in this category. From the moment I started using it I could appreciate that this is a high-quality precision designed tool.
