Onkyo Wireless Speakers Adapter

We decided to go wireless and use Sonos to take away clutter and facilitate streaming and different music playback options in different rooms at the same time. We used to have an Onkyo 2 zone receiver running two amazing outdoor Bose speakers (prewired in our home) and a Bose Accousitmass 10 sorround system in our family room. To play the speakers outside we had to play the same thing in the Family room. It sounded good though. We replaced the Onkyo and indoor Bose surround with a Sonos Soundbar and we are 110% happy with that. We also bought a Sonos Amp to run the outdoor speakers. Now we can play different things in the different areas and the sound quality is phenomenal. The amp has more power and clarity than the old Onkyo receiver. I know this is a really expensive option, but for us, it was completely worth the investment! 5 |

This is the perfect ideal adapter for using active speakers in a wireless capacity. Specifically, I use the Sennheiser wireless systems to send the signal to the speakers remotely. This adapter is for the needed for the Sennheiser transmitter/receiver packs for providing constant power verses using batteries. I hide the transmitter/receiver packs on top of each speaker out of site from the public and being able to plug them in to the same cord as the active speaker. 5 |

I purchased these speakers as height speakers for an Atmos 5.1.2 setup with my Onkyo TX-NR646 receiver. I am no expert or audio techno geek, just an average listener that enjoys great surround sound with my movies. These speakers are very reasonably priced and sound great to me so far. The paint-able screen and bezel feature allowed me to attractively blend them into the ceiling. Very happy with them. 5 |

Excellent speakers for the price point. I connected these to my new Onkyo TX-8220 and everything is coming in loud and clear! They feel like the Goldilocks of speakers--not too bright, not too warm, but just right. 5 |

sub is paired with a couple of Klipsch KSF10.5 synergy towers and an Onkyo TXNR676 receiver. Klipsch makes some of the best speakers. 5 |

We wanted to extend our Stereo system to other parts of the house, and after some research, I settled on this BT device. I'm using the BTA30 on the zone 2 (RCA analog) output of an Onkyo TX-8555 receiver to transmit to bluetooth enabled speakers and sound bars around the house. Since the Onkyo does not have digital audio out, I used an analog to digital audio converter** to go from the RCA output on the receiver to the digital TOSLINK input on the BTA30. Setup was simple and straightforward, just remember that the BTA30 has a volume knob, so remember to turn it at least halfway - i had left it all the way down and was trouble shooting for several minutes until I noticed the knob position - turned it up and it worked! I am experiencing a wee bit of latency if I'm listening to the same music in both zones at the same time, but that's most likely because the speakers I'm transmitting to are not APTX capable. In all, it's not that big of an issue, just something to be aware of. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the BTA30 - and the B&H shopping and shipping experience is second to none! **If you don't have a digital output available, you will need an analog to digital audio converter that accepts RCA audio inputs and digital TOSLINK output. You could use the BH #GEATVDA to accomplish this. 5 |

Hooked them up to an 105w per channel Onkyo amp from 2010. They benefit from having a sub like most bookshelf speakers. These speakers cover music quite well.i Haven't watched a HD movie with them yet but I'm sure they would do fine. I'm pleased with the purchase, and they are not too bright for my taste. I'd call them clear, as I can hear many instruments clearly. But feed them an HD signal and they sound great. 5 |

I purchased two sets of the RC80i speakers: one for the balcony and one for the lanai which is directly below the balcony. Both are connected to an Onkyo TX-8050 via Russound volume controls. The speakers are all mounted in the ceilings. The two balcony speakers are about 20' apart from each other; same with the lanai speakers. The ceilings are hallow and since you can aim the tweeter the sound is very rich...even outside! 5 |

I have an Onkyo NR5008 serving as a preamp to a Parasound 2250 stereo amp driving my Left and Right channel Tekton Design Double Impact speakers (high sensitivity 4 ohm speakers). Due to the potential current draws, these are on separate 20 amp circuits. The Jensen CI-2RR removed all the hum without changing the tonal balance or shaving off the high frequencies based on REW measurements. Bought this based on the success I had with the Iso-Max Sub-2RR I use to connect the Onkyo with my 1,000 watt subwoofer amplifier (plugged into a third 20 amp circuit). Both Iso-Max units eliminated the hum without sonically damaging the signal which was not true for the less expensive isolating transformers I tried first. 5 |
