Recommendation: - Consider the probability of autofocusing issues - Buy the lens from BH Photo when they have the deal with the Sigma mount as a free additional item. - Send the lens and the camera body to Sigma for their free warrantee AF Calibration. Review: I have been using a 50mm 1.8 prime lens and the kit lens that came with my Canon t6i since the day it was bought. After reading many reviews and researching alternative lens I decided to get this lens as my first major upgrade. I had already taken into consideration some issues a majority of the reviews identified. Shipping was fast and everything came in perfect condition. Upon attaching the lens to my t6i I took a shot of some fruits on a glass table. I was surprised that it captured the warm golden hour light from our kitchen window very well. It had a certain contrast that my kit lens and 50mm did not have. I really love how the lens captures light and has the perfect zoom for the kind of street photography I enjoy with an amazing depth of field. The only downside is that out of the box, the lens was out of focus especially in low light situations. I could not get a subject completely in focus when zoomed in at 1:1 about 10% of the time. I emailed Sigmaphoto.com about the focusing issue. They replied within the day and told me I could send it in via mail with my camera body for a free autofocus calibration through their 4-year warrantee. Their turn-around for warrantee servicing was 3 days according to their customer support. I sent my camera body with the Sigma lens following all the instructions to send it for a warrantee AF Calibration. I got the camera back in about 2 weeks after a holiday. Now the lens is about 95% sharp and I am loving it! Even the color of the RAW files look amazing without any retouching. It still has a little hunting in low light situations but overall I am extremely satisfied with the lens.

The monitor is excellent - color accuracy (Adobe RGB), uniformity, etc... probably the best manufacturer of monitors with hardware calibration (built-in LUT)... with second place to BenQ. I just wish hardware calibration monitors were less expensive (sad face)!

This monitor is great. The calibration works fine. As others have pointed out, read through everything and do the stand alone calibration first. THEN do the other regular calibration. I love that it turns off when you walk away, and turns back on when you return. Only issue I have had is updating the firmware hasn't worked. And judging from the manual's warnings, that process is touchy and could result in bricking the monitor. I'm not sure I want to take the risk pursuing the update, but it is working with the factory firmware so I'm leaving it with that. I would buy this monitor again.

I have calibrated my iMac's Monitor and mi Epson printer. Is very importan follow a video for get a effective calibration, or maybe read before in the official website the FAQ's because in my fisrts pirnter calibration i got a dark profile iCC

I am no stranger to high-end monitor and printer calibration systems, often using my i1iSis 2 XL for scanning a large number of patches to ensure I get the best colours... but in some fringe cases, like using metallic papers, that system cannot get accurate results. Enter the i1Photo Pro 3 Plus with the ability to use a polarizing filter to remove the unwanted reflections that are messing up the calibration results. A great example would be for one of my new favourite papers, the Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Metallic. Impossible to calibrate with my other gear, super simple with this equipment. Great all-around kit. If you've got the budget for it, and colour is really important not just in prints but also with monitor and camera calibration, this kit has it all.
