Open Back Wireless Headphone

This is my first bone conducting headphone purchase. The AfterShokz OpenMove Wireless Bone Conducting Headphone is light weight and actually stays in place while I exercise. My initial concern was that it might give me a headache from nesting against my ear but it turns out I often forget that I have them on me. The noise canceling feature during phone calls work very well plus the sound quality is great for what I'm using it for. I'm happy with my purchase.

For an inexpensive closed back headphone this can't be beat. I use it when my normal selection of open cans will disturb the rest of the house. They need the aftermarket lamb skin pads, I am sure that will improve both comfort and sound over the vinly pads. Really like the modular cables it comes supplied with too.

Excellent value. This open back headphone produces spacious and detailed sound with solid and none intrusive base. It is better than I expected at this price point.

Although I wouldn't call the X2HR a reference style open back headphone, I would say they are a very enjoyable pair to listen to all kinds of music on. I've listened to everything from Jazz, Classical, Hip Hop, old school to modern R&B, all eras of rock to Death Metal, and the X2HR sounded great with all of them. Great detail, ample bass that holds together and the soundstage is wide but not so much that you lose the mix or the vocals. The X2HR is bright, but never sibilant and the treble range allows for great resolving of ear candy usually lost or hard to hear in poorer performing headphones. I would say the EQ is a bit more of a V shape, but there is enough midrange where recordings never sound hollow. I find the fit very comfortable for my large head and the build quality is excellent. I will say that ear fatigue settled in for me after about 2 to 2.5 hours of listening at a moderate volume. All in all, a great set of cans.

i bought this headphone when it was on dealzone for half the original price. I have been using it for the past 3 weeks. The sound quality is amazing. Semi-open design makes it perfect for mixing, as it's not too tight and uncomfortable on your ears. Of course, semi-open models can't be used in the vocal booth, as the mic could pick up some audio from the headphone as well. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the headphone!

I recently received a used headphone amp (Little Dot I+) as a gift. This gift prompted me to give traditional over-ear headphones another try after a 35 year hiatus. I had given up on this type of headphone because the clamping pressure was always too much for my XXL sized head. I did some research and found that the Fidelio X2HR’s supposedly fit big headed folk, were well respected, and used an open-back design that produced an impressive soundstage. I decided to give them a try and I’m really glad I did. The clarity, detail and soundstage of these headphones is amazing and thankfully they are very comfortable. I also really appreciate the excellent build quality and standard (non-proprietary) single sided and replaceable cord. I definitely recommend the Fidelio X2HR’s. For those who are new to headphones like me, remember that an open-back design is best used in a quiet corner of your home since external sound is not blocked and anyone nearby can hear your music. I’ve experienced impressive soundstage using quality speakers but quality headphones are a whole new ballgame.

I use them almost daily when I take my walks. The sound is outstanding for the price. The open headphone design allows me to hear what is going on around me while I am walking. Highly recommended.
