I've been waiting for this lens to come out since its announcement a few months back. Once it released, I bought it as soon as the clock hit 12am. I primarily shoot primes with the exception of a 70-200. For the wide end of the spectrum, I used to own the Nikon 14mm 2.8 AFD which I sold. Although, the 20mm art isn't as wide, it is bloody gorgeous in separating the subject from the background. You buy the world's fastest ultra wide prime to shoot wide open, and when you do you get nothing but pure butter. I was expecting this lens to be quite soft in the center, but wide open this thing is sharp as a knife and gets even sharper when stopping down. Is there a bit of barrel distortion? Yes, but barely. It actually keeps lines ridiculously straight, but you can get that slight push pull effect if you shoot in a not so pleasing angle. But remember this IS an ultra wide, so just be mindful in how you shoot with it. Focus is dead on accurate and fast. Faster than my 14mm 2.8. Only thing to knit pick is the weight of this lens. Its quite heavy. probably as heavy as the 14-24 by nikon. It also has that same bulbous front element that can get serenely damaged if you don't baby this thing. 5 |

Excellent lens for my A6000. Very sharp wide open. For those of you that are considering a ultra wide and dont mind it being manual this is the lens! Focusing manually with this lens is not difficult at all. 5 |
