Open Ended Side Mouth Wind Instruments

I recently recorded some video narration, using a Schoeps MK 41 only a few inches away from my mouth. I tried several different wind and pop screens, including the regular B 5 and the W 20. The B 5 D gave the best protection against noise on

Have used this Smartphone Mount several times now with both a Nexus 6 and 6p, it has a big enough mouth to hold both. It is like trying to open a dog's mouth the first couple of times you use it, tho you do get the hang of it. Will fit on about any tripod. Used it with two different tripods to record a Vlog & capture birds out the window. Am really trying to save money and not buy large video cameras and use what I have so this mount is helping.

When I decided to make the purchase, I tried different brands in the market, however, the one that left me with my mouth open was Sonos. And well, today I bought two Five and a Sub and the experience is excellent.

I use this Lav set for interviews and weddings. Prior to this I used other Sennheiser sets. I loved the build quality of them but having to scan for open frequencies and sync the transmitter and receiver added an extra step and time which are both at a premium during a wedding especially. What I like about this set is the ease of use that it automatically scans and uses open frequencies on the fly. Several times with my old set I would be near the water recording. A boat would go by and cause interference and drop off. This set will seamlessly find a new frequency without losing audio. I use for wireless handheld mic for run and gun interviews. It works great but it seems to me the user has to hold it very close to his mouth to get the correct audio level. That means the mic is next to their mouth in all the shots. Maybe I am missing something but I don't see where that is adjustable unless I raise the audio record levels on my camera which is a pain because I will forget to set it back.

I use this mic to record string and wind (brass mostly) instruments.  The different patterns make it effective in a variety of spaces depending on whether you want to reject other sounds or include reflections.  Versatile and great sound quality.

I like wind instruments. This is that and so much more. Nice features make playing sound like the real thing. Tried it all but haven't used it as a midi controller yet

Very open, clear and accurate microphone. Sounds really beautiful and well balanced. It's good for both instruments and vocals from classical to pop music. The quality of this microphone is exceptional and it's definitely worth than the price. I am now mainly using this microphone along with Neumann and DPA microphones. I highly recommend this modernized amazing cardioid condenser microphone to all musicians.

This is a handy little guy, and I ended up using it a few days after ordering. I wouldn't put too much weight on it, just for the sake of the drop ceiling itself, but it worked exactly the way I expected. Mine was a bit difficult to get open the first time, but after that it swung open and closed easily.

I had a little reservation about the open ended rods with slide on handles but this cap eliminates that worry with almost no weight cost. They are of typical Zacuto quality and I added them to most of my rods.

So it should be obvious but when opening it will springs open real quick. I didn't do that and ended up scraping up the bridge of my nose... moving past that it's very compact when not in use and works really well. Also a great toddler distraction, I put it on a table and the little guy spent a good half hour running around with it
