I've used the Kensington Expert Mouse for years now and won't do without it. I recently bought a new iMac with the new Magic Mouse. I did like the scrolling ability of the Magic Mouse but after a week I broke down and bought another Kensington Expert Mouse. It has much more accuracy and stability than the Magic Mouse. Plus, the trackball is easier on my hands and wrist than a traditional mouse. I'm on the computer all day and do everything i can to make my day run smoother. Moving the cursor on the screen is much more intuitive to me with a trackball than with a mouse. The Kensington Expert Mouse does have both horizontal and vertical scrolling. While not as intuitive as the Magic Mouse, it still works.

I am so grateful to have found the Kensington Trackball. I bought it to replace two Logitech trackballs that I had previously owned (the M570 and the Ergo M575). I had to go online to find the Kensington because all of our local stores only carry Logitech. The Kensington is brilliant. Once you learn how to customize the trackball using Kensington's software, it's easy to find the most comfortable angle for your wrist. The Kensington is solid and heavy, which I like. It stays in place on your desktop. The USB dongle connects the mouse without disruption. And I like the scroll wheel. The Kensington itself is more intuitive to use than you would think, and (hopefully) it will last a long time. It comes with a manufacturer 3-year warranty, which is the longest manufacturer warranty that I have seen on trackball mice of any brand. This mouse is definitely worth the price. I take online classes and write computer programs, so this trackball mouse helps a lot with relieving wrist and forearm pain. It's worth the investment. It takes a few days to get used to it, but once you do, it's doubtful that you will go back to other mice, trackpads, and such.

I have been a Kensington Expert Mouse Trackball customer for decades, but up to now have only used the wired version. I wanted the wireless version for when I'm away from home. I use it with a 16 MacBook Pro and prefer something besides the built-in trackpad for moving the cursor around and scrolling chores. When I'm at home, I have the MBP plugged into a dock that has a Kensington Wired Expert Mouse connected. I'm very happy with the wireless version. Works as well for me as the wired ones at home. I use the Bluetooth connection option, not the dongle. No issues to report. Yes, the trackball is somewhat bulky, but there's plenty of room for it in my backpack. I'd recommend it!

I've always used a trackball over a mouse. No need for extensive desk real estate. This is my second Orbit, one on home desktop and one on work desktop, both of which replaced Logitech Trackman trackballs. The Logitech was good but no scroll ring. I also have two Kensington Expert Mouse trackballs on editing machines. These are the best but a little pricey. The Kensington Trackball Works software also makes it easy to customize your user preferences and responsiveness.

I've had a Kensington trackball before and switched over to a mouse for years. I was having problems with my hand and thought I'd go back to it and give my hand a change up. This track ball is great, the buttons feel right and the scroll ring which is new to me is a definite improvement. Trackballworks is a downloadable app to customize the tracking device and makes it even more productive. Overall, good product at a great price.

I've been using Kensington trackballs for about 16 years. I forget what they called the with one with the wheels but that was my first. I moved to expert mouse when optical technology came out. I still use an Expert Mouse wireless, an Expert Mouse, and now this SlimBlade. Believe me folks NOBODY makes a trackball as smooth as Kensington. I got this SlimBlade to use with my HP laptop because I just couldn't stand the products offered by Microsoft and Logitech. The SlimBlade has a unique way of scrolling by twisting the ball and after two weeks I see the death of the scroll wheel on the horizon - it's that intuitive. If you want a trackball save the money you'll waste on a MS or Logitech ball and pay the few dollars more for the Kensington. You won't go back.

Love this product! Kensington's Trackball with scroll ring is the BEST. It helped heal my carpal tunnel due to the natural relaxed hand postion, and it's fantastic for the precise work I do. Toss the mouse and upgrade to a comfortable, efficient, smooth-gliding Trackball. (NOTE: unlike a mouse, there is 1 bit of maintenance to keep it going through it's full warranty period - to wipe the sensors clean where the ball sits. Super easy, to do, but FYI for Trackball newbies.) Cheers!

This is a replacement for an old (20-25 year old) Kensington Expert Mouse Trackball - it was all dusty and gummed up. The new one was stiff at first but, after a 2 or 3 hours of use it became broken-in and now the track ball floats and slides the cursor across the screen with precision.

I like trackball mice because there's less stress on my arm and wrist moving the mouse around on the desk surface. This is my second Kensington Trackball mouse; I have the larger wireless version in my office. I use this smaller, more mobile Orbit when I am working elsewhere in the house or traveling. It's much more compact and travels well. There was no set-up or driver download involved with my MacBook Pro. Ready to go at once.

This is my second Kensington Expert Mouse Trackball. I would have likely had more but they are made so well and last so long that Im only on my second. The first I bought in 1989 when they first came out and it only just died (Sept 2024). You should know that as a left handed artist using a wacom and stylus plus my trackball for my right hand, my digital workflow is so fluid and seamless that I can't imagine working any other way. The ergonomics and customization make this one of the better investments for anyone spending long days in front of a computer. You will not be disappointed.
