These brass rings are the best as they don't get stuck, I wouldn't use anything else ! 5 |

This step-up ring is made out of brass, so the filters don't get stuck when you attach filters. 5 |

This is a work horse mic used by every sound engineer to record any type of instruments:brass, percussion, etc. 5 |

I use this mic to record string and wind (brass mostly) instruments. The different patterns make it effective in a variety of spaces depending on whether you want to reject other sounds or include reflections. Versatile and great sound quality. 5 |

I have tired of having aluminum rings (and filters) getting stuck and requiring a filter wrench or some such to remove them. Brass is worth the extra cost in the long run. 5 |

I use these with my rangefinder lenses so I can attach my collection of Nikon filters to them since I have a whole bunch of 52mm Nikon filters. These thread on very smoothly. They're some of my heaviest step up rings, but it's because they are made of brass. I'd rather have brass step up rings though because back when I used to use a lot of aluminum ones in this way, they would sometimes get stuck. It's nice to be able not to worry about your filters or lenses getting stuck or having to sacrifice something or go somewhere to get things taken apart. 5 |

I bought this brass ring as a replacement for an aluminum one, which was constantly getting stuck onto various filters. Decoupling the filters and the ring was a major hassle, even with lens wrenches. While the brass seemed a bit expensive, it turned out to be well worth it to me. It goes on and comes off easily. I'd buy it again. 5 |

All brass very thin and you get what you pay for - it had a tendency to become stuck on both the inside and outside thread - wish I had put a bit of Vaseline on it before using - so I bought a pair of lens clamps - that was a good purchase as well 5 |

I never tried a brass step up ring , I tried some plastic cheap ones and they always get stuck and I end up breaking them to remove them , but this one is so amazing and feel solid and easy to remove from the filter I guess if I need a step up ring again , I know what to purchase! Totally worth the price! 5 |

This filter is sharp and provides excellent color with the added bonus of a polarizer built in! The 4 stop ND filter is perfect for streams, rivers, and waterfalls when you’re trying to keep some texture to the water. I flip the camera into live view after I focus to see the polarizer to get the right color of greens and blues in the overall image. What really sold this filter for me was the brass ring and how it was advertised not to get stuck on the lens or other filters. I have used Tiffen filters while achieving my BFA in Photography and B+W filters for the last 12 years I shot as a pro. These filter brands have gotten stuck on lenses and other filters with several being cut off in order to get the shot in time for my clients. B+W even states they have a brass ring, but they still get stuck! I tried the PolarPro 4stop / polarizer and had no issue taking the filter off when shooting in deserts, artic regions, and high humidity areas. I have since then purchased the 6 stop / polarizer, 10 stop / with polarizer, and 15 stop ND filters from PolarPro. I have still not had one of these filters get stuck on a lens or filter and have been using them for over a year. I have field tested PolarPro against my B+W filters and I see no color difference between the two companies. This is probably due to the 97.9% Quartzline glass that PolarPro gets from Germany, which is something the two companies have in common. PolarPro is based in California but the resin used to coat the layers of glass is from China. This is common with filters in order to keep cost down since most consumers don’t want to spend $300 - $500 or more on a single filter. 5 |
