Be using it to connect a laptop to Ethernet and work works without any issues in Windows 10.

This hard drive is optimal for frequent travelers who need to reliably access their data while they are away from home. The drive is robust and stable, and can withstand a certain level of stress when put in a laptop bag/backpack that's squeezed or ungently handled. I had other portable drives break all the time, but not this one. Also, although it supports USB3.0, it does not need an additional AC adapter but instead comes with a cable that has two USB plugs for the laptop. Therefore, you won't need to carry an additional AC adapter around at all times. Although the drive is slightly bigger than some other harddrives of the same capacity (because it has a protective casing) it is not really heavier. The far superior robustness of this drive justifies the slightly increased dimensions. Great investment, A+

If you don't have a built-in Ethernet adapter, this gets the job done. Windows automatically identified and connected to the adapter. I was successfully on the Ethernet within a few seconds.

Works fine with Windows and Mac. This adapter can basically max out a gigabit Ethernet connection. I have it connected to a USB port on the back of my monitor so that a single cable gets me not only power and video, but also a better internet connection.

My laptop doesn't have an ethernet port. This USB adapter is a great solution.

I bought these for our company to do at home recorded videos on their laptops with better audio quality than the built in laptop microphone. I just tested it and compared it to the laptop mic and there is a very noticeable increase in quality when using the usb lav. At first it was way too over modulated but then I realized I needed to tweak the mic settings in windows 10. First, plug it in and let it download the drivers automatically. Then, type the word sound in the windows 10 search bar and click sound settings. In there, go to the microphone area and make sure the usb lav is the active one selected. Once it is, click on device properties and in that menu adjust the volume slider until you have a proper microphone level that isn't topping out too much to the right on the sound level bar. I put mine around 40-50 but it depends on how close the mic is to you mouth.

I have a wifi only laptop that I wanted to use to test a newly purchased IP camera on. The adapter allowed me to connect a ethernet cable to my IP camera for testing. After giving the adapter a IP address in the same range as the camera my system connect with the camera perfectly. I would highly recommend this adapter for anyone needing to add ethernet wired access to there wifi laptop.

I needed to attach an Ethernet cable to a MacBook (of course no ports on the MacBook) so I got this with an adapter so I could use the cable and then the adapter with USB to plug into the laptop. Once the correct driver was installed for the MacBook / adapter all worked great. Instructions for all could be better. Thanks to B&H for super advice and support!

Not much to say, it's a USB to Ethernet adapter. Works exactly like you would want it to.
