I use my Apollo Orb for portriats in my studio. I looked into several other softbox products, but found what I wanted and needed with the Orb. I like the round catchlights, similar to that of an umbrella, without the obvious spines reflecting in the catchlights. I get beautiful, smooth light to dark transitions in my portraits. I felt a little clumsy at first, trying to setup and move the Orb on its stand, but like any equipment, it takes some time to get comfortable using it. 5 |

I use the 43 Orb and Grid in a studio shooting still life and Models. I like the dramatic affects I get when I manipulate the light around my subject and background, I am happy I purchased the Ord and the grid and also a beauty dish to top it all off. I use a PhotoFlex 650 Mono light along with a couple of Canon 580EXII speedlites, some Pocket Wizard III's firing from a Canon 5D Mk 3. Great buy! John I 5 |
