Orbit Optical Trackball Mouse

My 2nd Orbit Trackball. The first lasted MANY MANY years. Made the mistake of buying a cheaper Logitech trackball, that barely lasted ONE year. I really like the big buttons on the Orbit Trackball, & the velocity response (can move cursor both in very small increments, or sweep across the screen quickly). Because I've had a small computer desk (30 wide) for 35yrs, a trackball is necessary. My extended keyboard & trackball fit nicely. A mouse not only requires MUCH more space, I HATE constantly picking up & relocating a mouse to move around the 21 monitor: a waste of time, distracting & frustrating. I never have to look to find where my trackball is! Plug & play simplicity, & easy to clean. 5 |

As a longtime Orbit Optical Trackball fan, I was disappointed to realize my brand new Orbit causes both my 2009 and 2015 MBPs to emit a faint high-pitch noise/beep that's audible in a quiet environment. The Orbit looks exactly like my other ones, so I'm not sure if the technology has changed. Tech support said return it to B&H Photo for a replacement. I'm still giving it 5 stars hoping it's a quirk and that the replacement will be just fine! 5 |

I have used the Orbit Optical Trackball for years on both my work and home computer. No more tired wrist and once I got used not having to move the entire mouse it made all work applications and home surfing quite simple and enjoyable. My entire family approves! 5 |

I bought this for Microsoft flight simulator 2020. I had initially got the orbit and liked the trackball concept so I ungraded to the expert. For a general mouse functions it feels more tactile then a regular mouse. You just feel like a big shot with this mouse, you’re a wonderful person and you are worth it. 5 |

My Kensington Orbit Trackball is exceptional. Easy to use and very conforaable to the hand. I have been using a different brand trackball for many years and was disappointed that it is no longer manufactured. Thought it was the end of the line until I used the Kensington Orbit. One feature that I like is the scroll ring. Another feature that was important to me was the position of the trackball allowing me to use my index finger instead of a thump operated track ball. I would highly recommend this to anyone who uses a trackball. Thank you, Con Levenduski 5 |

I orginally had a Microsoft Trackball that I loved dearly, but I can't find it anymore so I gave this Orbit Trackball a try and it was easier than I thought it would be to use, so I bought an extra this time to make sure I have another one incase I need it. I highly recommend this Trackball. Very Easy to Use!!! 5 |

I have been using a trackball for more at least fifteen years (my preference). The 4-button USB Expert Pro Mouse - Trackball by Kensington is there best trackball yet. 5 |

I'm at the computer 12 hours/day and I find a trackball much better than a mouse for my hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. My Logitech Trackball developed floating cursor and I couldn't cure it. I looked at lots of recommendations from friends and relatives, but no one mentioned the Kensington SlimBlade Trackball. I found it on my own, and it is perfect for me. The large ball makes for easy cursor precision. Its simple clean design is very appealing to me. It's the easiest least stressful pointing device I've ever used. (I started out with a CPM machine so some of you will have an idea of how many pointing devices I may have used over the years.) 5 |

Have used the old Kensington Orbit for years and got tired of cleaning the contacts every other week. This update (optical) seems to have alleviated that problem. Highly recommended! 5 |
