Organ Pedals For Yamaha Keyboard

The EHX series of organ pedals are a breath of fresh air in an industry that seems content recycling the same basic stompbox designs. You can get a wide range of sounds that go from subtle organ texture to bizarre voicings. Having a dry signal out is fantastic for players like me (bass) who want to keep an uneffected signal to my bass rig. Meanwhile I can run the organ sounds into a separate amp and/or series of pedals and tweak to taste. I'm not sure I'll use it in a live setting much, but its a blast to record and play with. 5 |

I had an older Yamaha machine with just 4 pads and no pedals. This one is so much better. I've only had it for a week but it has so many features that I know it's going to keep me busy for a long time just learning what can be done with. As I stated, I'm not a drummer but I just love banging out different beats and as a 75 year old retired news videographer with too much extra energy, it helps me get out all my aggression. The pedals make a huge difference and the quality is very sound. It sounds like real drums and if I don't drive my wife out of the house with my banging, everything will be fine..Good purchase. 5 |

Historically I've always used Yamaha FC7 volume pedals, but I wanted to try something with a smaller footprint. I've read many reviews stating the superiority of the FC7, and while I do agree it is smoother and more sturdy, the EV5 has turned out to be much better than expected. For me, the lighter weight and smaller footprint was worth the switch. 5 |

This is the best sustain pedal I have ever used, including the much more expensive Yamaha pedals. I can't believe how little this costs for as well as it is built. I have just purchased a second one to keep as a backup: A. In case the other one ever fails for any reason, and B. Just in case they stop making them I wanted to be sure I will always have one. I use mine now with a Casio Privia PX5S stage piano, and it works perfectly. 5 |

The keyboard is really fun to play and once you select the right velocity curve for your style of playing you can get a good dynamic range. The keybed is semi-weighted meaning is not weighted BUT it feels good and coming from a weighted keyboard you can get used and do good parts for piano too, ep and organs are fast with this keybed. Sounds are very good especially 60' 70' and 80'. I am using a lot the elec bass because is really convincing and funny to play. Tonewheel organ is really cool, having physical drawbars, and with a volume pedal you can mimic the organ even better Overall this keyboard is really fun and it makes everything easy to play, customize and balance. 5 |

I use this product on a boom microphone stand that sits over a keyboard that sits on an organ. The boom gives me more flexibility in being able to adjust it without being a mile away, or in the way, like a straight microphone stand. It securely holds the iPad in place. Now as far as how I use it...I find that it works better, at least on the boom like I use it inverted. Instead of the two holders on the bottom of the iPad, they are on top. This allows me to tilt it like I want to. And maybe I'm wrong, but this was the only way I could get the iRig into the iPad without the holder creating an obstruction. There really isn't much not to like about the product. Just set it up in a manner that you are comfortable and are able to make all connections you need to make. 5 |

These HS8 monitors were the perfect match to use with a keyboard. I enjoy pipe organ music so don't forget the HS8S matching subwoofer! 5 |
