Organic Boxes Draw A Box

Pure, organic white.

B+W stopped using this boxes when you buy a new filter. They have come in these boxes for man years. They now ship in soft draw-string bag. So I now have to order one of these for storage each time I buy a filter from them. But they work, their solid, and protect the filter from being crushed when stuffed inside a backpack.

Boxes with matted photos are heavy, The metal corners on this box makes it strong enough to stack boxes.

Excellent, smooth organic effect. A classic.

Not too much blooming, and just enough fuzziness to make a digital image more organic.

This is the most apple box-y apple box I've ever come across. And I've come across a lot of apple boxes in my day.

I recently purchased 6 Lineco Slide boxes along with the Master Storage Box (a box to hold the boxes!) They were the perfect item to gain control of a mish-mash of small old boxes, envelopes and loose slides. The system allowed me to sort and store them in a number of different ways - chronologically, subject matter, locations ... I've found them to be the perfect solution with enough flexibility to adapt to my needs.

I recently edited the Tilta Mini Matte Box and couldn't be more satisfied. As a BMPCC4K user, I like to keep my kit compact so that I can easily go out with a small backpack (Lowepro Slinghot) and carry a few lenses, batteries and now the Tilta Matte Box. Most matte boxes are fairly large, so the Tilta one is nicely compact and mounts in a variety of ways including via several lens rings that come included, or off a rod system. Tilta goes the distance with quality and even the packaging box is well made and formed to keep the included parts in order, reminiscent of Apple products and boxes. The top flag can be locked off or kept slightly loose so you can easily move and close it. When not in use or packing your camera around, it close complete to protect the lens. You han use one 4 x 5.65 filter in it (have yet to do), or mount your lens filter either directly to your lens or on the matte box lens ring adapter itself (a bit tricky to do, since it is inset with little room to tighten the filters...but it works!). Flaws? None really that I can think of. For $99 construction is incredible and I don't think can be matched. Would it be nice to have side flags, even if optional, sure! But I have yet to use the matte box under varying conditions to see how critical that is. If you are getting light from a certain side, you can easily rotate the flag a full 360 degrees to find the angle you want.
