Having been a loyal user of Shockz products since 2019, particularly the AfterShockz Aeropex, I've experienced first-hand the evolution of open-ear headphone technology. My journey with Shockz has been mostly positive, but not without its quirks. With the older models, like the Aeropex, I noticed a peculiar sensation when cranking up the volume - a tickling feeling at the contact points that was sometimes distracting. Additionally, as someone who appreciates a rich audio experience, the bass in these earlier models left me wanting more. Enter the OpenFit Open Ear Headphones - the latest offering that I've been using for the last couple of weeks. These headphones are not just an upgrade; they're a complete overhaul of my auditory experience. The tickling sensation at high volumes? Completely gone, allowing me to enjoy my music at any level without discomfort. And the bass - it's like a whole new world. these in-ear earphones are being used with an audio technica in-ear monitoring system. they have a good range all the way through. i do wish they had a little more bass but for the price, they're solid. they come with multiple ear piece fittings for the perfect fit and for noise-blocking (not noise cancellation).

There are headphones designed for audiophiles, for home / studio use, and there are headphones designed for monitoring. The DJH-2500 is ideal for monitoring. The Polsen DJH-2500 Headphones were designed to have the mid range more accentuated on purpose, giving you more ease of listening in what you are hearing / mixing / creating in a live wedding reception, noisy streets, music fests, or similar situations where there’s too much noise and loud music. I’m not a DJ, but my needs are identically similar. I’m a filmmaker / videographer including weddings ,corporate video and dance recitals. So, I use the Polsen DJH-2500 in my camera’s headphone jack. The DJH-2500 allows me to listen to critical audio without having to up the volume all the way because of the accented mid range and the way the ear cups help block sound. The ear cups are comfortable enough for a whole day of use at a venue. If you are the type of listener who likes “Mega Bass” or excessive bass, this is not the headphone for that and you’re going to pay a lot more for it . And for the uneducated listener, too much bass is not ideal either, as it overpowers the mid and high frequencies, especially when using it for monitoring. To my taste, however, I wish the DJH-2500 had a bit more highs though…I like more treble. Other than that, it’s a very useful and a nice pair of headphones. I also like the dual input feature which is nice. If needed, you can hear two input sources at the same time, one source on each ear. Again, for DJs, musicians and videographer, we use that feature. I am enjoying my Marshall Over-ear Monitor II A.N.C headphones. Lots O'padding, comfortable when I wear my glasses. The Noise cancelling feature is really awesome.

Over the ear headphones reduce ambient noise. Sound quality is very good for mono headphones.

I personally don’t get on with in-ear headphones. Over-ear seem too cumbersome as I use mine mainly on dog walks and need to carry them in my pocket sometimes. The Major IV seem to offer the best of both worlds. They are on-ear, yet deliver a really good sound. The design is simple and different to most other headphones available. The battery life is astonishing. I’ve had mine for two weeks now and still haven’t needed to charge them. Really, really pleased with them.

Over the years I have gone through many headphones almost all of which broke. The head band broke or one of the ear pieces broke off. These are extremely well made and virtually unbreakable. More importantly, it has superb sound able to pick up from the lowest frequency to the highest! The sound is very rich, full and clear. Love them!

The sound quality is outstanding, rivaling my higher-priced Sennheiser headphones. Calls are clear, bass is not as strong as in ear headphones. All in all, they’re great for working outside.
