Paper Mate Large Mechanical Pencils

I purchased both the 10mm and 11mm Artisans and found the 11mm definitely sharper when comparing lettering at 400% on a calendar in a room shot, however at 4 inches the 10mm was amazing. Purely by accident while shooting tests with the 10mm with the Lumix S1r I focused the camera on a pad of paper I had written notes on in pencil. Along side of the pad were 8 or so new Dixon pencils with gold stamped lettering all sitting on a dining room table cluttered with computers etc. At f8 with the lens so close the background dropped beautifully, but what astounded me was the detail of the lead pencil writing on the paper the the gold leaf stamping on the pencils. Photo had Color, contrast and even a bit of micro detail in the paper texture and writing. Based on this and other tests, this is a great lens for very closeup experimental work. Colors are accurate and vibrant. Lens is seemingly well corrected for this type of work with Capture one correcting purple fringes. For room shots and sharpness stick with 11mm unless you need the extra angle.

I have just begun to use this paper and it seems to be of good quality. I am using it for black and white prints and have begun to color in it with marshall color pencils. It seems t hold the color in well although it does not get the same quality that agfa papers that I used for enlarging in the darkroom did. Still, a good quality paper and the colors look good on them.

Is very smooth and the pencils glides very quickly.

My cats are mostly indoor cats with a catio, but I allow them in our large fenced yard for a while each day. The one cat will sometimes jump the fence and we have to hunt her down. She never goes far, but without the Tile mate, she's often difficult to find. The Tile Mate allows us to pinpoint her pretty quickly. Before buying the Tile Mate, we bought a much more expensive GPS feature which wasn't as accurate and much bigger. We returned that and bought the Tile Mate, and I've really liked it. As for negatives, I would suggest to the manufacturer to make them smaller for cat owners. It's "okay" now but would be much better if it were smaller. I'm also looking forward to the technology to improve so the range will be broader.

Honestly, what could be better, ink and paper all in one package. Epson brand name for the picture mate printer. Perfect images from this dye sub.

I am using this paper with mate finish for photo prints 3 years. First on EPson Stylus Pro3800 then on EPson StylusPro7900. The prints are amazing with rich colors, high dinamic range (excelent brightnes and deep black). The surface finish is mate, very smooth.

This is a great, heavy Mate paper with a rich texture that shows nicely in the negative space of an image. Hahnemuhle is an exceptional company producing amazing papers. It’s worth buying a variety pack of paper to try the different types to see what works best for you, but this is my personal favorite!

mechanical drives are slow. I deal with large libraries and large files that are difficult to move around. This drive saves me so much time and makes my life so much more productive. You have to figure out a solid methodology first and follow a protocol. I do all my work off 2 SSD solutions and then at the end I move it to a mechanical drive (2 actually - one is main storage and the other is a mirror for those OHSHI moments). I use a script to move the items so life is carefree. I did run the speed test software and you get what they say. Just wish that I could get more than 8TB as an option. Somethings you regret buying. This isn't one of them.
