The 1st copy I got had malfunctioning AF, but the 2nd is just fine and AF works well. I will use this lens extensively at our local marina to do boat portraits and wide scenics-- and also for landscapes and interiors. At the marina, the boats are packed in pretty tightly and it takes an ultra-wide to open it up. This lens is sharp, contrasty and the constant f3.5 aperture is useful for night work. The lens is well built, but on the downside, it is sort of big and heavy-- about the size and weight of a good 24-75 f2.8. It take 82mm filters which are spendy. 5 |

I have been scanning tax and other documents and then shredding them to free up space in our safe. I've been using an Epson flatbed scanner until I purchased the DS-410. I would have taken me at least 30 minutes to scan what I've just finished but with the DS-410, less than 5 minutes. And the DS-410 can do both sides at the same time and save as .pdf file. 5 |
