This model is one that is compatible with Xfinity. I was surprised how much technology has changed because my previous NetGear modem did not require a router but this one does. I think some information needs to be added to the outside of the packaging to tell the user to buy a router while they’re at the store buying the modem!! I also don’t understand why the modem has a password because as I set the new system up, I needed to use the router name and created a password. Hopefully I got everything set up correctly - - I am able to connect to WiFi using the router name. 5 |

I am using this with my new Arris S33 modem on xfinity's (up to) 1200Mbps service. Xfinity delivers 800 , and I get 400 wifi from the router, throughout my two story 2300sf house. The router is located centrally on the second floor. 5 |

Using it on Xfinity network, it took me only 15 minutes to setup and get activated. Works as designed and is ready for the coming deployment of Gig speed from xfinity and others. Really happy with it and feel this helps future proof me for a couple of years. A good investment. Compared to renting a modem from xfinity, this thing pays for itself in less than 2 years! 5 |
