Genuine Sony battery. Not cheap but very reliable. You want to spend extra money to eliminate risks when you are somewhere you don't want to take any risk of camera malfunction.

I have been running wireless mics for decades, and decided I was tired of the risks associated with wireless, such as audio dropping, and the shear size of the wireless bodpacs. So, I picked this up for situations, such as wedding vows, or interviews and it is a far better solution. Ideally, it would be both wireless and have an SD recording option, but that doesn't exist yet. However, very happy with the sound quality and size.

Hard working long lasting battery with the bonus' of being name brand (I try not to take risks with off name brands damaging my gear) and the LED battery counter. I have another one thats still going strong after years.
