Password Protect Belkin Wireless Router

Works great and the only thing I had to set up was the option to have a password to protect it if someone else tries to use it.

Very easy to set up. Used the same SSID and password chosen for previous router so my devices just connected automatically. I am finally getting the range of coverage I need.

This modem/router is working beautifully. I especially like the unique and easy to remember password. Works without the booster I had for my previous modem/router. Thank you

This model is one that is compatible with Xfinity. I was surprised how much technology has changed because my previous NetGear modem did not require a router but this one does. I think some information needs to be added to the outside of the packaging to tell the user to buy a router while they’re at the store buying the modem!! I also don’t understand why the modem has a password because as I set the new system up, I needed to use the router name and created a password. Hopefully I got everything set up correctly - - I am able to connect to WiFi using the router name.

Well made and a better password protect than previous. Faster and a lot better than the Extreme version 2TB that I have.

Great USB and way Password protect your important documents, easy to use, light weight with aluminum for addend durability. Software is easy to use to password protect your important documents but easy also to access files that don't need encription. Very fast to transfer files between computer and other usb drives.

Got two of these drives (one Navy, one Champagne colored) to replace my other externals. Nice to be able to protect them with a password even though the Smartware Backup Software is not really smart regarding configuration. USB3 is a plus.

With this purchase this will give me five WD Passports. I won't use any other brand. When I bought my first one 4 years ago (500g) it was actually my second choice. I first got another brand which was all medal but no password-protect software included. I took that right back to @ and got WD and have been hooked ever since. I keep my photos and confidential records on that one and for the others I store all my videos without password-protect. The only problem that comes up iw when I can't safely remove. All the drives do that from time to time on both my computers. I shut the computer down. Never yank it out, you might lose everything. Buy one today and back up.

This has a strong barrier to protect the contents within (XTS-AES Encryption). I wanted this because I've lost too many files lately when electronics went bad. I should have had them on one of these and I didn't. I regret that. I always use up my free cloud storage and I don't always want those personal items on a cloud. This is the answer. Setup is easy. When it is plugged into a Windows machine or IMac , the software is available and can be used to set up the drive with a password. That's pretty straightforward. If you forget your password or enter it incorrectly (10 attempts), you can wipe the drive and start over but you cannot recover your data. So, choose your password wisely :).
