Patagonia Camera Backpack

After lots of research between patagonia, the north face, and nike/adidas backpacks, I finally bought the thule lithos 20L for college. And I feel like all my research paid off. This backpack is the perfect size for bringing all the supplies needed for class. The zippers are very smooth and feel high quality. The fabric holds its shape, so it gives the backpack lots of structure and a nice thickness. The waterbotle holders are roomy for my slim water bottle, but might not work for those huge hydro flask bottles. The front pocket snaps back into place very satisfyingly. And perhaps most importantly, it's so comfortable to wear!

Bought this camera after I saw my friend's pics of Patagonia taken from this camera. He shoots underwater photography and this is his pocket camera. I had a Sony RX100 II. I like to take close up photos of flowers, and my grandbaby. The image stabilization is the best I have encountered. The colors are true to life. And the light handling is sophisticated. All of this performance on auto mode. I'm stunned and in love with this camera...looking for every opportunity to use it.

I bought the lens to use on a trip to Patagonia and for Northern Lights next fall.  When I first put it on my camera I didnt think the focus was working.  But it does and so quiet, great feel, a bit heavy but it operates so nicely.  My first Sigma lens and I am glad I picked this instead of the 14-24mm Nikon lens.

This is the best camera backpack, let alone just backpack ever

I use the BlackRapid Backpack Breathe Camera Strap with a Lowepro ProTactic Backpack. One side of the strap connects perfectly to the rings located on the front of the backpack's shoulder straps and the other side connects onto a loop on the bottom of the pack on the other side. The BlackRapid backpack strap allows me to have quick access to my camera. With the camera on the BlackRapid strap, I no longer need to bring my backpack to my side to remove and use my camera. I now use my backpack only to store and change lenses. My camera can now remain outside my backpack, located conveniently to my side at hip level. When I want to shoot, the camera slides smoothly up the camera strap to eye level. I like that the camera hangs upside-down when resting on the strap. It makes for an easy get to position when my camera is resting at my side. This strap is amazingly slick and fun to use. I have to admit that I find myself playing around with it, like I'm some sort of gunslinger, showing off how quick I can be on the draw. I appreciate the movable clips provided on the BlackRapid camera strap. The two clips are easily adjusted, allowing me to restrict the movement of the camera to stay in one place on the strap when I am planning not to shoot. All of the attachment parts seem well made and designed. I keep the bottom strap strapped to the bottom of my backpack and store the rest of the strap in a small pocket on my backpack when I am not using the strap. Then, all I have to do is remove the strap from the small backpack pocket and connect the free end to the opposite shoulder strap . . . and I'm ready to go! I wish the piece that that screws into the camera (Camera Socket Attachment) was designed so that the camera could sit flat when attached, and if the design of the socket attachment would permit a tripod or mono-pod to be screwed into it without having to unscrew it from the camera. I absolutely love the BlackRapid Backpack Breathe Camera Strap!

I purchased this lens for my Sony A6000 to take on a trip to Patagonia. I just returned and could not be happier with this purchase. I highly recommend for landscape and night-sky photography. I will definitely purchase from Rokinon again in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed an attachable bag for my Patagonia Black Hole backpack, and this one actually worked out very well. I have the Medium Tech Bag that works perfectly with my PRVKE, as well, and the organization for this tech bag works out well.

I use this with my Patagonia Snowdrifter 30L pack. It works great for keeping my Sony A7c, Tamron 150-500mm, Tamron 28-200mm, Samyang 18mm, and a few filters organized and protected. There's not a lot of extra space with the three lenses and camera, so I do carry a separate pouch with spare battery, cleaning kit, cables, etc. It's well made. All the seams are finished and solid, with good materials. My only modification suggestion would be to put shoulder strap clips on it so that you could throw it over your shoulder for short walks from the car. (Just don't unzip it and spill all the contents out onto the sidewalk.)

My son took the inReach mini 2 to Patagonia on a week long trip. Before leaving, the preset messages were set to arrived, underway and doing fine. The battery lasted the whole week with 30 min logging/reporting and power off at night. Figuring out which plan works best is probably the hardest task. IMO, the annual safety plan makes the most sense, even with some monthly trackpoint overages. Judicious use of free preset messages provides connection and location without the burden of detailed communication.

Used this insert in a small patagonia bag, very fexible and dividers are fully adjustable. Only problem is bottom is not padded if you don't have padding in the bag in which you are inserting it.
