Pc Bluetooth Serial Receiving

We bought some of these over 1 year ago for IT use only (new laptops had no Serial ports). As time went on, some of the PC's on our manufacturing floor needed to use a 2nd serial port so I installed my USB-Serial adapter and it worked great. These are used all day every day to receive data from scales and meters. I ended up installing all of the ones I bought and had to come back and buy more.

Have used the product twice in portrait shoots during the one week since acquisition and can't figure out why I waited so long to get modern and ditch my prior method of triggering studio monolights via either pc cord or the monolight's built in slave that is flash-triggered. Despite their modest cost, these units work perfectly. Perhaps they would not be robust enough for daily professional use. But for an amateur like me who will probably use them but a half dozen times a year, they seem to be perfect for my needs. The only exception was operator error. I also bought a new pc sync cord to connect the Yongnuo receiving unit to the sync port of my monolight. Upon the first use, the connection failed intermittently. I now believe it was because I did not notice that the pc cord had a knurled fitting to tightly secure the pc cord to the Yongnuo receiving unit. I merely pushed it into the socket and apparently that didn't make constant connection.

As an Amateur Radio operator I needed an interface device to connect my serial devices to the computer. There are many USB/Serial adpators on the market. Having a bluetooth adapter on my PC has made things so much easier. Amazing price. Works wonderful.

For the money this camera does what I want it to. I can't get it to connect to my PC on Bluetooth but it connects to my phone and then I transfer from the phone to the computer.

We utilize these for Lync on PC's, other conferences we log into for other companies on PC's, iPhones, etc. This is one very solid unit. The Bluetooth is automatic and the quality is excellent. This turns a single iPhone into a large table conference phone!
