I have used the Vello BG-C9 Battery Grip with my 5DIII several times now in the past week. It fits the camera body perfectly; works well - exactly as advertised; and I've had no problems at all. I'd read earlier reviews mentioning the lack of a second large round adjustment dial on this battery grip. This hasn't been a concern - reaching to the left to use the camera's original dial while in portrait/vertical orientation instead of reaching below for landscape/horizontal usage is a very minor mental adjustment. The only minor negative so far is I have forgotten to turn the grip on (it has it's own off/on switch) a couple of times. So a couple of vertical shots have been delayed by a second or two - no big deal. Love it so far. 5 |

I own several lightweight tripods -- needed one specifically for video work with smooth panning capability. Works beautifully. PROS: * solid construction - feels indestructible * intelligent design: Easy camera on/off; level indicator; convenient and quick setup with simple leg extension; fluid head makes for professional-like panning; tension adjustment. * very reasonable price for what you get CONS: * it's a bit heavy, not great for hiking up Mt. Everest * needs a vertical adjustment once set up; vertical adjustment is via leg extension only Otherwise, they thought of everything and delivered. 5 |

One of the things I like about this particular lens support is the sideways adjustment in addition to the vertical adjustment. It also gives you the option of screwing in the rod to the bottom of a compatible lens or using the V-shaped support, which is complete with rollers in case you want to mount it under the focus or zoom ring of a lens. It's a very good value. 5 |

I have suffered from a drooping camera when using the traditional ball head. After trying several different models, with no overall success, I finally decided to go the geared head route. What a difference. I can position the camera exactly where I want it, without any drooping. If I need to move quickly, the quick release knobs for any of the three axis work great. I do astrophotography, so this was a definite improvement to my workflow. The only drawback is the fact that the vertical adjustment prevents the head from looking up in the sky, by more than 30 degrees. I was able to address this by extending the post in the tripod and moving it 90 degrees to the side. Now the vertical adjustment is actually the 360 degree panning control. The tripod is heavy duty. The three sections place the camera at my eye level, without using the center post. There is a hook on the tripod that can be used for attaching accessories or my camera bag. I use it to attach my Camranger. There are two levels, one on the tripod base and one on the geared head. I don't know how accurate either of the bubble levels are. Definitely the best overall expenditure I have made for my photography gear! 5 |

I have battery grips on all my camera bodies, love having the shutter & adjustment buttons for vertical (portrait) orientations without the need to have my hand on top of the camera with my arm up high! For me, it's a no brainer!!! ... 5 |

I added this center column to my Gitzo series 5 tripod for added vertical camera adjustment, my only regret is not buying it with the tripod. I cheeped out and didn't buy it originally but ended up purchasing it later anyway. This geared column is as finely crafted as is the tripod, checks all boxes for fit, finish, and function. Solid, stable, smooth operation, precise. Well done, Gitzo! 5 |

Mid weight capacity, with fast vertical adjustment, ON WHEELS!!! It is my favorite stand for the portrait or product studio. 5 |

So much better than laying them on the desk or elsewhere! It's nice you can clamp it to a horizontal OR vertical surface as well. I had a little trouble with undoing the adjustment to quickly make it a wider clamp but I figured out how the little clip worked eventually. 5 |

Exactly what I was looking for, except for the camera pointing horizontal. I get a precise vertical adjustment. When mounted to a 24 high table and with an added a crossbar I have the vertical orientation I want for copying photos and other documents. e.g.: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1448791-REG/oben_tab_2m_2_mount_tripod_accessory_bar.html 5 |
