Pc Part Picker Motherboard Usb Ports

Great Motherboard but be aware it will not have as many ports as a full sized motherboard.

After installing it instead of motherboard's USB ports - there are stops any lags or music distortion while ASIO streaming. Very clear strong sound stream without artefacts. Really huge improvement for my SCHIIT MODI MULTIBIT.

I ordered this Allegro USB 3.1-C type card because my PC was damaged during a no-warning fire safety power shut-off back in October here in California which caused a surge straight through my APC backup/surge protector. This resulted in a damaged front audio and USB port unit through the main switch to my computer case which connects directly to the motherboard. Therefore all the USB ports on the front of the case and on the back I/O of the motherboard became non-functional. This card, attached to the motherboard, bypasses the USB-C port on the back so that I can temporarily use it for USB-C connections until a new USB/audio/switch unit arrives from Germany for my Be Quiet! 800 case. Fortunately, it is still under warranty, and Be Quiet! offered to replace the unit free of charge. However, the Allegro card only works in PCI-E 3.0 or higher slots. It will NOT fit in PCI-E 16 express (the interface is too wide). I tried it in a PCI-E 2.0 slot and it will not function in it at all. Be sure that you have the right configuration or it will not work. It has two USB-C ports. Therefore, with the right cables, I am also able to route it to a four-port hub for other USB input needs such as thumb drives. This adapter is similar in writing speed to the original USB-C port on the I/O from the motherboard. This, with a four port USB 3.0 card connected to the PCI-E express gives me enough latitude to plug in all of my peripherals until final repairs are made. When that happens I will use it in another older PC build which does not have USB-C capability. I have tried it in that PC and it works very well and fast.

Use this outstanding motherboard on my third PC build. I love the usb bios port it makes it easy for bios updates. Also plenty of on board storage. Great job ASUS!

I bought this because when I built my PC, I did not want any built in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth on the motherboard (ASUS WS Ace X570). This allows me to keep the Bluetooth external and portable, in a tiny USB plug-in dongle. It has worked perfectly, and is very unobtrusive since I plug it into my monitor which is also a USB hub.

First time building my own PC, I used this case with PCpart picker and it fits everything perfectly. It's got a wonderful little back panel section to run wires through a non-visible section of the case that helps make everything inside look nice and pretty. Seems super durable, all the sensitive (glass and plastic) surfaces come with plastic on them to protect them while shipping. Super solid feeling and honestly just feels like a high quality case. Steal of a deal!

I just started using this pc about a week ago. so far I have not had any difficulties. It is quiet takes up little space on my desk and has everything I need from USB ports to dvd drive. starts up quickly and I am able to switch from program to another without lag.

My work PC is under the desk and it's a pain in the butt to access the USB ports. I purchased this to serve as remote ports for various data and communication devices. This works great, is well made, and also quickly powers up devices needing a charge.

I plugged this into a new PC with USB 3.0 ports. Plugged in a monitor and no display (no auto driver installation). I Googled rocstor usb to hdmi driver, found Rocstor's product web page and found the link to the driver. Installed the driver and, easy-peasy, the display came to life. I saw no embedded USB drive on my device. Works fine so far.
