Pc Switch Pro Controller Pressing Buttons By Itself

I've been trying to get more into streaming and wanted to make my workflow simpler, especially since I sometimes switch between my PC and an instrument behind the PC, so I really needed a controller easily accessible between them instead of turning back around to switch sources and such in OBS. I have the Stream Deck setup with the standard streaming options - start and stop streaming and recording/switch scenes/etc. Along with this however, I also have it configured to control my HDMI Matrix switch. For streaming, I have a set of buttons that send certain sources to an output on the switch that has an Atomos Connect 4k HDMI to USB capture device on the streaming PC. For general use, I have a set of buttons in a folder for the common configurations I use for sources to destination displays. This has been a huge time saver and makes my setup much more convenient. 5 |

Easy to use. Buttons do not provide the same pressing sensation as a touch screen. This is the only thing that makes it difficult to use. Other than that, I am satisfied with the product. 5 |

Plays all region dvds automatically without pressing any extra buttons. Just turn it on. For blu rays, press the button corresponding to the blu ray region. Player will automatically turn on and begin playing. Awesome. 5 |

I have this switch set up to allow me to switch between a Retina MacBook Pro and my tower gaming PC with Nvidia GTX 1070 graphics card, and it performs the job very well. Previously I had a similar setup using an IOGear DVI+USB KVM switch between MacBook Pro and my older tower PC, with just a DVI-to-DisplayPort adapter on the video cable to the Mac. For the new setup I bought a DisplayPort-to-mini-DisplayPort cable for the Mac (could have used an adapter but the cable was $10 and it's less... lumpy... this way.) I've only been using it for a week or so, but it's working great! Comes with all cables, which seem to be solid quality, and fully bus-powered - small and light but seems well made. The older IOGear DVI+USB2 switch wasn't as expensive as this when it was new, but I guess that's the price I pay for going 4K. I did my usual research on all available DisplayPort + USB switch options before selecting this one, and I'm pretty sure I made the right choice here. If you're trying to drive a 2K or 4K monitor from two DisplayPort-equipped machines and share a mouse and keyboard between them, this is the ticket. 5 |

I bought this switch to allow bulb exposures for night photography. I tried it out on July 4, photographing fireworks. It is lightweight and relatively easy to use, but it took a little experimenting to understand it fully. Pressing down the button until slight resistance is met (half-way) permits adjustment of shutter speed and aperture. Pressing further starts the exposure and releasing it stops the exposure. However, for really long exposures one also has the option of pressing the button forward so that it locks, starting the exposure. Sliding it back again stops the exposure. Very logical. One can also use the remote to do timed exposures (up to 30 seconds on my camera). In this mode it functions exactly the same as the shutter button on the camera and there is no need for the lock feature. It seems that one can also use the shutter button on the camera without disconnecting the switch. I have read complaints about the construction of the switch. It is very lightweight, but the construction seems robust enough to me. I can't vouch for reliability because I have not had it long enough. I am happy with the product and would recommend it to anyone who wants to avoid camera shake when using the camera on a tripod. 5 |

PROS: This easy to install and use KVM Switch enables my two computers to share the same monitor/mouse/keyboard. I can change between the two computers by pressing the hot-key twice OR by simply pressing the button on the switch itself. It uses USB plugs, the choice all computers use today. CONS: The cute box is so small it must use 3 of its 4 sides to plug in all the cables making it take up too much space. If all cable inputs were on the same side, all wires could be strapped together enabling the unit to be more conveniently accessible. 5 |
