Pci E 10Gb Copper Ethernet Adapter

This is the 'hub' to our hub-and-spoke network configuration, with our servers connected via copper to the 10GB ports, and 10 of the 48-port Unifi POE switches connected throughout out building using Multimode fiber. Love the management software and the easy configuration. Don't think you can go wrong for the price.

Connect Ethernet one end, thunderbolt the other. Plug in, done. It works at 10gb perfectly. One surprise, it has a fan. It’s quiet tho.

For those who want to start on the 10Gb Ethernet this product is a great deal. It has 2 10Gbe port so I can connect my Mac mini and my NAS directly and increase my speeds from 110Mb/s to 450Mb/s Write and 950Mb/s Read. Beside that, we have 4 additional 2.5Gbe ports so I can use with other Macs with faster speeds than before! I'm loving it!!

This is a very good transceiver for the price. It allows you to adapt SFP+ to 1, 2.5, 5.0 and 10Gb Ethernet. Used this as the downlink from Netgate 4200 2.5Gb to UniFi USW-Aggregation switch. It does use more power than typical fiber or optical transceiver, but well worth it for this use case.

I had to buy this item because the Motherboard Ethernet connection gave out, The PCI card slots are already in USE, one for the sound and the other for the USB 2.0 4 + 1 card is how I wanted to connect to my home network, and the third PCI slot is used for additional SATA/IDE port to increase the Page file for the PC with Windows XP Pro. Windows balked that I had to reacivate it, as to pay for Windows 8, as that was NO DICE!! I had to reinstall Windows XP Pro myself in which case, I already had the DVD OF, bought and paid for. This adaptor is the second ome I bought, as this mad it possible to activate it on line very quickly after I got everything back to normal. Windows does not like too many hardware changes!!! The original Ethernet adaptor did not need the CD to install its drivers, but the NEW ONE did! It is a BOO! on this process, it culd be plug and play ONLY!!!

Not much to say, it's a USB to Ethernet adapter. Works exactly like you would want it to.

Used it with apple TB to ethernet adapter

I do 3D work for games, movies and that data gets large very fast. Have an older 2-bay NAS that I was running using RAID 0 so no redundancy. Had it pretty full and was worried about losing it all. So picked up the DS1621+ along with 6x Seagate Exos x16 16TB and 2 500GB 970 EVO+ drives, 4GB Synology RAM stick to bump the RAM up to 8GB, and finally a Synology 10Gb pci adapter. Put it all together with RAID 6 with redundancy for up to 2 drive losses. Have the 2x 970 Evo Plus drives as SSD Cache. Am only using the 10Gb port that is from the added adapter. Runs amazing! Have 55.8TB of safe storage running around 500MB/s when taking advantage of a 10Gb ethernet port on a computer, write a little slower because of RAID 6. Very happy with the purchase!
