Pearl Export 8 Piece Drum Set

Works fine and was easy to set up and export files.

I have a 6 piece kit that I am using this microphone set for. I have never used any other drum mics, so I cannot compare it to others. However, I am very satisfied by the quality these mics provide. I am a former professional, but now retired and playing and recording drums as a hobby. For this purpose, these mics are fine.

I use the mic setup on my 6 piece drum set. The recordings are for my own use only, as a hobbyist. These mics have worked well for me. Their recording quality more than meets my basic needs. I cannot comment on how they compare with other drum mics, since these are the only ones I have ever used. They were very easy to set up. The clip on attachments worked perfectly for me. Although, be aware of the need for some sort of mic stand/attachment for the bass drum mic.

There are multiple manufacturers making similar systems such as the Wireless GO II. My favorite part of the GO II system, is the ability to export 32-bit audio from the TX of this system to sync in post. I've talked directly to Rode, and they confirmed that when you set the GO II to record to each TX internally, set at Broadcast, you are capturing a RAW recording. So, when you export to 32-bit, you will have enough information to get the cleanest audio possible out of this device. Since audio files themselves are not that large, I usually export to 32-bit every time. Occasionally, when I'm making a simple YouTube video of a product review, I set up the GO to record directly to the camera. That's the beauty of this system. You can record directly to your camera, or export a high quality, 32-bit audio recording. Hence, it's a very flexible system. I could not recommend this more highly. It's a no brainer to me.

I was able to export my AC5300 config and import it here. How nice.

I am happy with every piece of this set up.

This cart is a back/life saver. I can put my entire very oversized 5 piece drum kit on it as well as cymbal case, mixer board, rug, mic stand, pedal bag, and throne. Wheels are smooth. Am ordering the optional shelf kit next week.
