Used to say NEAR on the outside, now it says BOGEN. But it's still a good speaker.

I purchased this low height drum stand with boom to use for my particular Desk Top Microphone setup. I can extend the boom fully and it will still support a Rode NT-1 mic with the large, lyre-type Rycote shock basket, if the boom is extended over one of the tripod legs.

I am using this stand for the kick drum and smaller amps. The heavy base keeps the positioning of the microphone very stable.

Sennheiser ME 2 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone is one of my favorite microphone that caches the sound of my acoustic musical instruments while I play and sing. I don't have to use two microphones while interviewing someone.

I recently build a Kick-Sub Microphone. In essence, you grab a loose speaker 6-12 and connect an XLR end to it and use it as a microphone for the Kick drum. The issue with doing this is that the signal comes out really strong. This unit is perfect for that as you can dial in your attenuation. It attenuates from 5db, 10db, 20db, 30db, 40db, all the way down to 50db. So, depending on how far I place that mic to the Kick drum, I can adjust the microphone to make sure it doesn't clip. The only thing I will say negative about it is that it is made of plastic. The construction quality doesn't seem great and for the price you would want a metal unit with much tighter tolerances. But I'm not planning to swing it around from the cable and smash things with it, so unless, I'm stepping on it constantly, I'm assuming it should last a long time.

I have another less expensive stand, it is NO WHERE NEAR the quality of this stand. I only use half the pole due to my large modifer, and low ceiling, but it rolls on my carpet amazingly and is so sturdy! I will be buying another one to replace the the other cheaper one I had for a smaller PLM, there is no comparison!!!

Used these mics for stand up interviews most of my career. These are extremely reliable, workhorse. If you need a microphone for television stand ups or stand up interviews, look no further.

To my surprise the stand is very strong and it doesn't feel cheap. Used it the day I got as a microphone stand while filming. Thinking about buying an extra one.
