Exactly what you would expect from a Pelican Case. Strong, plenty of space, great dividers.

So much better (for me/my gear, anyway) than the foam that came with this Pelican case...easy to adjust dividers for your camera body and lenses...providing just enough added protection inside the box.

This case is pretty large and deep. I am new to pelican, but now I see what everyone talks about. It's well built. Biggest complaint is the really cheap cheap cheap dividers. Like building a tank then the interior is like a toy. Doesn't make sense. Add strong dividers!!!!! Liteware makes excellent well built dividers!!! With excellent cases. You pay the price but it all lasts. Other than cheap dividers case is a 10 plus!!! Buy it. Also buy porter sacks for extra padding!!!!! Worth it. I purchased 6 Pelican cases for all my photo equipment protection. Enjoy

I am constantly changing the parts and layout inside my Pelican 1510 case, and the foam got out of control. So, I got the dividers, and it my gear has never looked so neat, or stayed so secure before. Out with the foam, in with the dividers!

I recently purchased the Pelican Vault V550 case for photo and video equipment and I'm glad I did. Pelican has always made great products and the Vault series is no exception. I already have a smaller version of this case for astronomy equipment like eyepieces, Telrad, etc. The main points I like: - The cushioned dividers that you can arrange as you need. Instead of pluck foam, it's clean and variable in arrangement. This case has a good amount of depth and can hold a lot of items. Because of the matrix of dividers, you don't have to fill the case to have items secured. They are contained in their smaller space. - The push-button unlocking mechanism is really great. It takes no effort to open, has an absolute positive lock and also won't open by mistake. I have an older case from another manufacturer that is rugged, but has the knuckle-buster type of latches. You have to use a lot of force to open or close them. Not great if you don't want to damage your hands. - The handle is curved and wide to fit hands properly and snaps down flat with the case so it's not sticking out in storage or packing a vehicle and getting in the way. - The case itself is heavy-duty and should withstand any abuse. I have not received any compensation nor benefit in writing this review. I am a picky person when it deals with care of equipment. I would recommend this case, or other sizes of this style, to anyone.

I've only ever used other peoples' Pelican cases, and many of them over the years, had not updated their dividers. So the dividers were worn, etc. Not with this new boi though. I bought this for a photo studio I manage- we're starting to go into the field and do video now, so having a case that carried it all and kept it safe was the idea. First and foremost- this case is exactly what you'd expect from Pelican, durable, lightweight, and protects the F out of your gear. Secondly, I particularly enjoyed the usefulness and ease of set up with Pelican's new TrekPak system. They even supply you with a cutting tool for accurate spacing, and each section has additional locking pins that hold the walls in place- very cool and intuitive. Since it's from the Air line, it's also TSA approved, and comes with wheels. Get one with wheels if you can. 10/10.

I wish Pelican made this exact same case but deep enough to store a 70-200 on end with the dividers. If it did, it would hold SOOOO much stuff . . . in the meantime this works great and houses much of my photo equipment, safe from spills, and accidents.
