A great filter for a great price. I use it often on my mirrorless camera.

I purchase a used Pentax Spotmatic film camera recently with a couple of lenses. This adapter allows me to use the Pentax lenses on my Fujifilm mirrorless cameras. It works perfectly, is well made and lightweight. If you are looking to adapt vintage lenses to your current system this is an excellent solution.

To preface this story, this is my first DSLR and my first Pentax. Before this I had owned two mirrorless cameras.  First I started with a Lumix S1 but was looking to upgrade and convinced myself to sell everything to buy into the Fuji GFX system. To my (and many others) surprise I was dissatisfied with not only the build quality of the 50sii but the images I was creating with it. Something just didn't look right. I couldn't place my finger on it but things looked... sterile?  I thought a digital medium format sensor was the answer to replicating my medium format film cameras but alas, this was not the case. I wanted to capture a black and white film look with a digital camera but couldn't afford a Leica monochrome. It was a risky move on my part but I sold my GFX after doing a lot of research into the K3iii monochrome. The first day I took it out I knew I had made the right choice. Images from this camera are pure magic and have tricked many people around me thinking it was film. Match this sensor with a M42 adapter and throw some Super-Takumar, it looks identical to B&W film. Love shooting this thing at night at ridiculously high ISO levels. The build quality is like a tank. View finder is bright and easy to focus. Speaking of focusing, the auto focus is faster than some of the mirrorless cameras Ive used. I don't ever want to go back to mirrorless after using this gem, there's nothing like framing your image through the lens. My only complaint is it takes a second to get used to exposing correctly. You need to be very mindful of blown out highlights. Images match that of any full frame camera I've ever used. I love this thing so much I can only hope Pentax will release a full frame monochrome camera in the future to compete with Leica. Anyway, if you love B&W photography then this is the camera for you.

I was on the fence and getting swayed into different directions of cameras. Newer, fancier etc. However in my exhaustive list making and research I ended up buying this. No regrets whatsoever. It is a fully competent, gorgeous, robust build. Image capturing takes me back to the days of my professional photographic endeavors. I used to shoot film as well as medium format and rangefinder. Sure I got caught up in the mirrorless craze however I found myself hardly composing anymore. Everything I did became point and shoot or basically iPhone photography with a $3000 mirrorless Sony or Nikon. I lost interest in what I was seeing on screen and just shot stuff to slap up on Instagram. To me the mirrorless craze is fine in some ways however I wanted to get back to looking through a very vivid and clear - non pixelated viewfinder. The grip on this beast is wonderful. I reguarly hike above 8000' and holding onto this is a breeze. I have shot in the native Pentax raw format and DNG - both stunning. JPEGs aren't bad either. This camera would be my first choice for doing weddings again (with a grip) and it is now my first choice for landscapes and nature photography. I have an aging and well used Fuji XT-3 and Sony A7R IV that are both great but I may sell and opt for another K-1 and build up my l ens stash. I'm impressed with Pentax (or Ricoh). I hope they consider continuing on with a full frame DSLR. If you are thinking of this camera, I can say you won't be disapointed.

That is what I need for my Pentax K1000 film camera.

I am using this trigger on a Pentax K-5, and it works fine. Easy to install on my camera to trigger one or more off-camera speedlites. Great price and seems well made, although I have not had these for long. Would buy again.

I bought this camera for an upcoming trip to Bali. I own a Lumix point and shoot camera that I use often but have been wanting to invest in a DSLR to expand my creativity with photography. I selected the Pentax K-x because of it's ease of use, HD video capabilities (not usually found in a camera in this price range) for it's quick shutter speed at 4.7 fps, and for it's super fast auto focus. I am very impressed with the K-x's performance and overall picture quality. It is a well built, compact and especially comfortable to hold and use. I bought the white version and get positive remarks about how unique looking it is. I have taken photography to a new level with this camera and am enjoying the fantastic pictures I have been able to capture. Images are sharp and well focused even in low-light conditions. It's a terrific price for the amount of quality and features packed into it's modest size. The camera takes 4 alkaline, lithium or rechargeable AA batteries which make it slightly heavier than it's competition, but it's trim profile more than makes-up for it's weight. I'm very pleased with my choice and the Pentax brand.

first off, the price on this camera, with two lenses mind you, is honestly the best bang for your buck without sacrificing image quality or features. the image quality on this camera is mind-blowing, its sharp and crisp, vivid rich colors and not blurry at all, even at full zoom. when i was in the research phase of shopping for a dslr it came down to two cameras, nikons d5000 and this pentax k-x. what i found by testing both cameras physically at the store is that the pentax seems to built better, its more sturdy and just 'feels' right, not cheap, like the nikon does. it also had the same focus time, if not faster than the nikon. although the nikon had the nice moveable screen, and it had a better focus time in live view mode, the difference in price made the choice clear, almost as clear as the image it produces.

Love the package deals offered with the pentax and the price is right. I liked the feel of the camera much more than the nikon d5000 due to its smaller size.
