Pentax Zx 10 35Mm Slr Film Camera

This my second Pentax digital camera purchased from B&H. As a long time 35mm film shooter, it was hard to make the switch to digital. I bought this camera to make the leap from a digital point and shoot to a digital SLR. I last used an old film SLR 10 yrs ago, so it'll be nice to see what I remember and learn even more about photography. I'm very happy the camera accepts AA lithium batteries and there is a lengthy printed operating manual too. Additionally, there are more than enough manual settings for my needs. Lastly, the price is right and was lowest on B&H! I haven't found any cons yet.

This is the Pentax DSLR I've been waiting for. I used the ZX-5n for years and it was my all time favorite. The K-X is the ZX-5n for digital at last! The controls are well placed and the viewfinder is bright enough. I've been shooting with the 50mm f1.4 and very happy with the speed, autofocus and quality of the pictures. The kit lens works wonderfully as well. With image stabilization on the body, all of my lenses are ready to go. Still uses 4AAs which I can live with. The Video is a plus feature. Only wish the ISO went down to 100 (the slowest speed is at 200 ISO), but this can be compensated by stopping down a bit. I did shoot fireworks on New Year's Eve at 800 ISO with the 50mm f1.4 and had wonderful and fast results!! Fantastic deal with the memory card and Pentax sling bag included. Highly Recommended for beginners and long time users alike.
