For a small light it sure puts out alot of light and is very bright on every setting. This is one great camera and video camera light.

This is a great compact video mic for your run and gun camera!!! The dead cat has cut virtually all the wind ive run into. I do alot of outdoor filming and i couldnt live without this mic!!! My audio quality has really improved since switching to this mic from the onboard mic in my camera!!!

So far these device have about 6 hours on them. The video & audio are fantastic. I wish I had a device that told me how long the Cat 6 cable was between the 2 devices. It is long and must be close to maximum range. I did not think I would find something that could span the distance.

This product works as intended and B&H Photo and video have an accurate website description. The dead cat fits like a glove and makes my audio sound way better. I bought this for my original Rode VideoMic.

B&H description says 25', but this must be for high demand situations, such as video. I connected a mouse with 100' of Cat 6 cable and worked fine. As you can see, very small and requires no external power.

Using the rode video mic go on my Sony as72 for run and gun shooting, weddings and auto racing events. The foam slip on dampener provided by rode is ok but this dead cat takes the wind noise out of everything I shoot now. Initial testing revealed night and day difference between the foam and dead cat... highly recommend this for all shooting scenarios.

amazing mic for video. It's very directional, strong, and captures just what you want it to! Be sure to purchase the dead cat if your going to be shooting outside because the windscreen that comes with the mic is not enough to cut out all the wind. The shock mount is also a must have if your using a boom pole.
