Persona 3 Portable Print Club

I mainly use this tripod on tabletops in club settings when recording performances. I was looking for a portable tripod that could expand to a decent height without taking up too much space & being too heavy. This is THAT TRIPOD. If you are a performer or someone who is regularly on the go that needs a tripod that is easy to schlep around, look no further. With the potential to expand to just under 18, yet fits easily into almost any bag, this tripod is surprisingly firm & hefty without the weight. It also comes with a strap attached so you can hang it off your wrist. I have purchased a number of portable tripods over the years - this is my favourite by a long show. One VERY minor complaint: the ring that attaches the strap to the the tripod is made of plastic. Given the rest of the construction of this tool, I was a bit surprised. Just the same, if you are in the market for a portable tripod. Check this one out.

I needed a small portable PA system for club meetings at a local restaurant. I put a Mackie SRM 150 together the Auray stand and a pair of wireless mics for the perfect solution. Since the SRM has an angled mic stand receiver, I added a posi-lok mini boom to correct the tilt as well as a quick-disconnect to simplify packing for travel. Having all 5/8 threaded connectors simplified the assembly. The stand's adjustability and locking pin gave me confidence that it was solid!

As historian of a club I print hundreds of photos a year and the pictures are clear and the color is true.

I use this paper to print out small, test shots before printing for camera club competition, exhibits, etc. It is an inexpensive way to see it on paper instead of on my monitor.

I use this for submissions to the Toledo, Ohio Camera Club Print competitions. I've had many images place using this paper. Many of the TCC members use this paper with with excellent results

What's the quickest way to become persona non grata at a star party? Easy, just flash any kind of white light, even for a moment. That's what I appreciate about this lamp, a dedicated switch for red light, not a cycle of going through green light, then white (opps!), maybe an emergency signal as well, and finally red. The idea of charging the lamp with a USB connection wouldn't have been my first choice, but it's no big deal for me, and it's nice to know I'm going out into the dark with a fully-charged unit. This is a good choice for night photography if others are around.
