Good points 1. $200 2. control on Shutter speed and aperture control and Full Manual Mode. Auto mode perfectly fine for point and shhot. 3. 12X optical Zoom with 12 MP. Video quality is good.Zooming option available while doing video photography. 4. powered by 2 AA Batteries. Not So good points 1. Big in Size and bit heavy. 2. Response time is slow 3. No Viewfinder 4. No place for external Zoom, although inbuilt Zoom is good enough for in house photography. Overall it a very good buy if your budget is less than $200.

It’s a rare occurrence for me when a product checks all the boxes. I have owned this light for only a couple months now, and must say that I am consistently impressed by it. This will all pertain to the full color version, not the bi color version. I suppose I’ll begin by simply saying that it frankly has a lot going for it. Firstly, the multiple mounting points on the back give you a lot of flexibility when rigging. The back is one piece of aluminum so there is no sag or flexibility that you get with other 2x1 mat lights. The diffuser stays on and takes only a second to deploy which saves a boat load of time as opposed to building out a poly skirt like other mat lights. It comes with multiple diffusers ( a must in my opinion). It comes with a very functional control grid (also a must) that simply elastics on over the corners. Very simple. The LEDs all have lenses in front of them which greatly increases their output, while also keeping the beam with no diffuser relatively wide and non-spotty. The ballast has a clamp that can stay attached in the case which saves time for set up and tear down, but also makes it very easy to rig these up in ceilings on wall spreaders or rigging points where they really hero due to the great output and decent control grid. Lastly, they have built in CRMX which allows it to be integrated into a profession lighting desk seamlessly. This is almost a necessary feature for me, as you need to be able to quickly control the fixture when it’s rigged overhead and out of reach. I really don’t have anything bad to say about it. Just got off a feature where we had only one on the truck, and kept wishing we had three more. Like I said in the beginning, it quite simply checks every conceivable box for me for a light of this form factor, and I do believe these will catch on and become quite the industry workhorse in the future.

I have been using Elgato products since the Game Capture HD with a 2009 iMac. I used to light up my elgato green screen with a cheap USB powered LED work light set on the floor. It managed for the most part, but far from an ideal solution. The jump to the Key Light was like night and day, literally. Having full control over colour temperature and brightness made my lighting look instantly professional. Being able to control every option via the iOS app over WiFi meant the Key Light became the main source of lighting in my tiny apartment, and still is.

I recently bought one of these to bring my work to the next level and I'm quite impressed. Having full control of my audio is a game changer. The mics pick up range is really impressive compared to the VideoPro mic I have been using. Highly recommend this addition to your tool belt.

The GVM Pro SD650B Bi-Color LED Monolight is a game-changer for my commercial photography projects. With variable color control (2700K to 6800K), strong output, and consistent brightness, it delivers natural, faithful colors. The 12 lighting simulations and remote control via app or DMX add creative flexibility. Portable, with Bowens compatibility and active cooling, this 650W LED is a must-have for indoor and outdoor shooting. I love it!

Under $1000CAD to get into the motion control game. Not too shabby. Easy to use. Build feels pretty decent. Battery is okay and you can power with external banks. Set up is easy. Definitely a good addition to any smaller freelance kit.
