Petrol Bags Deca Airflow Camera Backpack

This Bag is simply amazing and BIG. I bought it when it was (Petrol PC104 Deca Rolling U-Bag), Good quality, sturdy, plenty of space, has enough space for my PXW X70 and a HXR NX100 facing each other and on the side you have enough room for the batteries and the LED panels and the wheels are a plus. Nice Job. 5 |

After I broke my EX3's visor in a Petrol backpack I have been looking for a bag with maximum protection and some extra storage for the laptop, wireless mic, ect. This case is just perfect for traveling, the camera is secured, and it even though it's a little heavy and large to carry around it fits the overhead compartment when you fly. But I would not go back to any other brand, Porta Brace definitely make the best camera cases, and part of the reason is it is made in the USA and not in China ! 5 |

I've used many different bags from tamrac, lowepro, petrol, crumpler. This is my favorite. I find it to have plenty of protection for a PJ bag. I'm able to fit 2 camera bodies, 12-24mm, 50mm, 24mm, 35mm, 105mm, 18-105mm, a speedlight and many other small accessories with no problem. 5 |

Bought this to augment my half dozen Petrol bags when Petrol was no longer available. They're rugged and suited for a million uses. I have sound gear in one, flash in another, cameras, general location items, etc I'm about to add another. 5 |

Like many photographers I have owned millions of camera bags. Mostly shoulder bags. Cheap ones and expensive ones. The thing is, I don't just take pictures, I also have a day job and like to travel light when flying. My last camera bag is a Billingham Hadley Pro and even with the strap pad, it's not comfortable with heavy gear. I almost wanted to throw it out when walking around Vegas with it. So I grabbed a BYOB 10 Backpack insert and stuck it into a Gregory Rhune 22 backpack and it's life changing. In the insert I can carry my Canon R6 with RF 24-105 F4 attached, RF 15-30mm and RF 100-400mm plus a speedlight. That leaves the rest of the backpack for a jacket, laptop, and any other random stuff I might want to carry. If I don't want to carry my camera but want to use the backpack (say, for work), I take the insert out and put it away - fully loaded and ready to go! It's brilliant and will be buying a BYOB 9 also for when I needs less camera stuff. 5 |

I am a professional engineering consultant and I do a lot of camera photography as well. I needed a backpack instead of a briefcase. I searched high and low for all sorts of camera bags but none could offer a sweet spot to serve as a dual camera bag and office bag backpack. Many camera bags would focus too heavily on camera gear and little on business functionality. I have very high end and expensive professional camera gear but only use four prime lenses. After much thought and deliberation, I decided to change my focus from trying to find a camera bag that does business to finding a business bag that I can also use for my camera gear. Equipped with some lens pouches, I can securely place my expensive camera gear in my backpack and have all the functionality of a mobile office as well. The Samsonite Openroad backpack does not disappoint and I have already bought the 15.6 inch backpack as well as the larger 17.3 inch backpack. Love it, Love it, Love it. I hope Samsonite keeps this functional and comfortable to carry Openroad backpack in their line up for many years to come as I have referred many to buy this well made backpack. Good job Samsonite !!!! Thank you.... 5 |

Best bag I’ve owned (and like many of you, I’ve had more camera bags than I can count). Tried quite a few messenger bags before (included latest and expensive PD), was never happy. Settled with Retrospective 7 now and took the opportunity of giving away and/or selling my other bags. I’m just keeping my also awesome Lowepro Pro Tactic backpack for occasions that backpack is more suitable. But most cases the Retrospective 7 is my go-to bag for a combination (not always at the same time) of 5D3 (with RRS L bracket always installed), 24L, 85L f/1.4, 135L, 70-200L f/4 II, 580EX II flash, filter case, TC-80N3 shutter release controller, extra battery, cards, etc. I can even wrap my RRS TFC-14 & BH-30 rig on top of it (although not ideal) with some make-shift straps I did just so I can be hands-free for a while…I highly recommend this bag for the look, quality, design, attention to detail & functionality. 5 |

I got tired of travelling with big bags and lots of photography gear. This was the best choice for taking my camera in my backpack. Lighweight, not bulky at all, and good protection. 5 |

I've been doing research on camera backpack for a week and stayed in a camera store for an afternoon and finally decided to buy this. It is one of very few bags that meet these requirements: - Lightweight ( 3lb). - Fits a 13 laptop. - Fits a DSLR + a mirrorless camera + 6 lenses in various sizes. - Not exaggeratively large. This backpack fits my Canon DSLR, Sony mirrorless, and 6 lenses in different sizes. If I arrange it more tightly, it can even fit an additional 70-200 f/4 telephoto lens. A 13 laptop or 12.9 iPad Pro fits neatly. In addition, it has another dedicated slot for 9.7 iPad. I haven't carried it outdoors, but I can foresee that the accessibility may not be as good as other bags that have side and back doors. But those bags are usually more expensive and heavier. 5 |
