Philip Hue Light Strip Ideas

Fantastic ambient lighting provided by this strip connected to a HUE Sync Box.

The lens is great but you need to light it and have many unusual ideas

The set up was very easy. The light itself was great and the different light colors open up so much ideas!

just a little bit of light can change a photo. mostly used for the light itself, but will upload a photo when we used the hue strobe behind the model.

The Angler Strip softbox is great for turning a COB LED light into a strip light. These are well made like other Angler products I have, and they are very quick and easy to setup. Among other uses, I use them to light green screen setups - 1 on each side. For wider setups, I would add a center light from the ceiling or floor.

Fits my FotodioX Pro Strip box like a grid glove, if there is such a thing. Couldn't fit better. The 9x36 size of the strip box (& grid) really allow for precise lighting.  I like strip boxes that don't allow light to spill all over the place, same with strip joints. Strip boxes & strip joints, I like the light where I want it in both cases.

I cant say enough how enjoyable it is to be able to bring this anywhere while being able to get ideas out in such and interesting way!

Simply put, they're E12 size bulbs that work with Hue. They function just like the other hue bulbs but in this weird form factor. They're quite expensive, always the con with using Hue bulbs. Otherwise, they work great. Hopefully you didn't do what I did and buy a light fixture that needs 6 of these -- oof.

Bought to run 4 Hue bulbs off one Impact light fixture, works as expected.
