It can be programmed to create different moods throughout the day. While billed as a table lamp, it works great as a floor or corner lamp to provide an accent wherever needed. It plugs into a standard wall outlet, and is not intended for outdoors.

I already use Philips Hue lightbulbs (they’re amazing) and decided to try this lamp when we were in the market for a new bedroom floor lamp. What a hit! Its floor footprint is tiny (perfect for our tiny Manhattan apartment) yet the lamp is bright enough to replace a “proper” floor lamp — it delivers way more than just “accent” light. We’re obsessed and already want to buy more.
