Phillips Laser Projector With Motion Reviews

I did my homework before settling on this projector. I was looking at 3 price points. Low ($1200), Mid ($3000), High ($6000). For the High I wanted the Sony entry laser projectors (but I think this one is even better than the entry laser projector from what I read in professional reviews). This project was at the high end of the Mids but after reading many reviews from AV professionals, when they say that this is their favorite projector and another said that the picture is almost as good as the Sony $40K laser projectors I had to try it out. And it does not disappoint. Everything that you think and expect in a great image, it has. I run at a medium bulb power and it looks awesome (in a dark room). Just read the pro reviews and you will settle on this one for the price point. I was not a fan of pixel shifting or DLP but this projector won me over. 5 |

Worked well for me with a Phillips monitor. I felt like I needed to be pretty careful that the monitor range of motion would work for me me before putting holes in the wall. 5 |

This was very easy to connect to my projector and the gear adjustment is clever and simple to use with just a regular Phillips screwdriver. 5 |

The EF12 Smart Streaming Laser Projector is better than I expected. The clarity, color, video speed, sound quality and easy to setup. The projector is exactly what I have been looking to buy for years. I also purchased the carrying case and it is worth the money. I expected a cheap bag, this is very high quality. I have recommended this projector to my family and friends. I can wait for summer for outdoor movie night in the backyard. 5 |

if you are looking for a living room tv replacement, ust laser projector, with incredible design, then just get this! i unplugged my old projector and streaming box, plugged the arc hdmi into my receiver, and was viewing stunning images on a cream wall. i don’t see any rainbow effects, but didn’t on my old dlp either. laser? yes! i am in 2020 finally! vivid colors, needs lowering of contrast, alr screen can only make this better, i don’t need one - i love the lightness. remote is supremely well designed. some early bugs (auto update not working, and bluetooth audio maxes vol between videos). so much more to write, limited by website - it’s magical! 5 |

I needed old fashioned overhead projector transparencies for my laser printer. I intend to make printed circuit board iron on etching resists. When something becomes "obsolete" that seems to be an excuse for most office supply stores to price gouge. For less than the price of ten laser transparencies [that I could find any place else on line or off] I now fifty. 5 |

I replaced UHD51A with this laser UHZ55. It's very bright with vivid color. The image is very sharp unlike UHD51A with fussy edges. I also tried UHZ66 which has 4000 lumens and 500k:1 contrast. The image shows washed faded colors. I really like UHZ55 performance after fiddle with the settings. The image can be shifted horizontally and veridically with the combination of keystone and corner adjustments. The audio is not used since I have a receiver. 3D is the lovely feature of this projector using active shutter glasses. B&H shipped this projector to CA in two days. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first projector investment and i wanted to future proof it with a laser. While others have mentioned the lack in contrast, I've enjoyed it and am very impressed with the color, which was honestly my primary consideration because i was worried about going from a tv and excited about hdr. 5 |

This was a move up from an Epson 5030ub, so bulb based 1080p to native 4K laser is quite the jump. I’m projecting on a 135” budget 1.0 gain grey screen and the colors, contrast and brightness are spectacular. I sit about 14’ away and the detail and sharpness of the image is so much better than what I was used to. I love that Epson for what it is but this is in a different league. Having only had the projector for a couple of weeks, I’m still playing with different settings and testing various 4K media with my Oppo so still have to spend more time with this to really get to know it. The only con I’ve noticed so far is it can crush some black detail in difficult scenes but I may be able to tease out some image with some adjustment tweaks, not a deal breaker for me but worth mentioning. Also, my old projector was supposed to have a similar lumen rating and had about 900hr on the bulb but this is significantly brighter. Haven’t put the laser past 60 (50 is default) and won’t need to unless I am keeping some lights on in the room. Last thing is it is much quieter than the old Epson and is mounted right above my head so that is also a big plus, hope it stays this quiet. 5 |
