[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With the headphone jack going away in phones and headphones switching to type c, this solves the issue of wanting to be able to listen to music and charge the phone at the same time. I won't use this often, but it serves a purpose. Most of the time I just use wireless charging at my desk, but this works on the go when I use portable charger at the same time. My mom uses computer speakers connected to the headphone jack on her Mac Mini. The jack failed (evidently this isn't uncommon). As an inexpensive workaround, I picked up this USB audio adapter, and it worked like a charm. Even plugged into a USB hub, it stays recognized and selected in the Sound System Preferences pane even after rebooting and waking from sleep. 5 |
