Photographing Slides With A Digital Camera

I purchased this camera for a specific task.....photographing items for inclusion in a digital library. It works perfectly for that task, but I have discovered so many more uses for it, too! This product is well worth the investment for use in a library setting!

I recommend this device to anyone who has slides and/or negatives from the old camera days. Converts to digital easily and seamlessly.

This is the first step in my pursuit of copying my 35 mm slides with my digital camera. Simple mount and works great for macro photography. Product has mainly one purpose and does that as it is supposed to.

Lots of slides to digitize. This is a siimple device: a digital camera inside a box that simply takes a photo of the color slide! The biggest problem now is simply cleaning the slide before scanning (photographing) it.

I bought this as a light source for digitizing negatives and slides using a digital camera. The light is bright and even. It doesn't have an off switch, but the connector to the power plug is right next to the frame, so it's very easy to turn on and off. It does exactly what I need and the price was reasonable.

I love my Wolverine Digital Converter. I had so many slides and negatives. This made the transfer to digital easy. I was able to transfer to my lap top and share the pics with family. I had a little difficulty figuring out how to do the 110 film but once I did, I was finde. Film is a little more difficult than slides but it works. I'm happy. Wish I had bought this sooner.

I keep my images since I started photographing consciously. My oldest slides are from 1966, stored in plastic or paper boxes. Much of it was faded or grew mold. But from 1980 on, when I started to use clear, non PVC plastic pages and provided a cool and dry archival room my slides and negatives are preserved. Today, as I scan those 40 years old pics, few corrections are needed due to fading. Sure, most of the credits go to the controlled environment, but all this energy would be wasted in vain if I did not choose appropriate enclosures. I still keep in my personal archives the work of a great master of contemporary photography, whose 50 years old kodachromes kept in clear files still can be appreciated today as it might be for many more years.

I bought this film scanner in order to scan some of the thousands of slides I have from years of traveling and photographing with a 35mm camera. I just set it up yesterday. It was easy to install and start using the scanner with my Mac mini. Overall, I am very satisfied with the ease of use and the quality of the scans. It does require time because there is nothing automated about the process.
