If you are considering photographing the upcoming solar eclipse, a UV/IR ND filter is paramount. And this one from NiSi is excellent. It is high-quality gear. I've been practicing using it and so far satisfied with the results. Still dialing-in on the optimal settings. I am also using a remote shutter release. B&H also has a very helpful guide on solar photography. 5 |

I bought this filter for the Great American Solar Eclipse of 2017/8/21. Yes it is expensive, but if you are a serious solar eclipse chaser who travels around the world to catch a glimpse of it, this is a must have item to capture the phases of the solar eclipse in sharp, white detail. Please view the compare and contrast photos between a disposable filter and the Marumi filter. 5 |

I waited until the last minute to get Solar Eclipse Solar glasses, the evening before the solar eclipse, and by that time supplies were limited all over town. Then, I remembered that B&H would probably have excellent glasses available. I was right. I arrived at the store about an hour before closing time. The line was around the block -- everyone seemed to have the same idea as me! -- but it moved quickly and soon I was on my home. The next day, as the eclipse occurred, my partner and I had the best seats in the house, on one of the piers along the Hudson River, and we safely viewed and enjoyed the cosmic spectacle. Thank you, B&H, for coming to the rescue, and keeping our eyes safe! 5 |
