Just starting out in off camera flash photography. Wanted something to learn lighting with. Quality is very high for what you pay for. As stated...no cold shoe adaptor so order the Stroboframe 300-SHO. Had everything assembled in less then 10 min and taking test shots with Nikon's CLS. This will help you take your photography to the next level. Carrying case seems very large and really decent quality. 100% happy with purchase...way to go B&H!!!

I use the sto-fen for portraits and wedding photography. I have it on my flash most of the time during weddings. It calms flash light down, yet still allows for dynamic lighting if you know how to use it. Also works for filling in harsh lighting outside.

I bought the lens for indoors event photography when the lighting is somewhat dim but I don't want to use flash. M43 cameras are not at their best under those conditions. I use post-processing to help compensate for issues with high ISO and slow shutter, but the extra two stops with this lens (vs my f/2.8 12-40mm zoom lens) are really useful. I haven't done any extensive analysis of image sharpness with the lens, but it's certainly adequate for my purposes.

I use the Flash cord for wild life photography. I usually have the strobe off the camera for better lighting. This cord is as good or better than Canon's and at a lower price

I have just gotten a SB-700 flash which has many great features which are good for basic point-and-shoot photography and also much more complicated lighting setups. I wanted a DVD to explain both the basic and advanced uses of my new flash. With about two hours of material, this DVD does a great job of going through both basic and advanced uses of the flash. Although the DVD is specifically targeted at how to use the SB-700 flash, it does a great job of explaining many techniques and principles of flash photography, in general. I found the DVD to be a great investment to help me get a better understanding of the flash, how to use it and what directions I can grow into in the future as my lighting needs change. The only downside of this DVD is that it may make you want to spend more money on flash and lighting equipment.

With close-in macro nature photography, adequate and even lighting is required for decent depth-of-field and shutter speed. This Ring Lite is easy to attach and use with my Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM lens. Out of the box, I was able to take my first macro test shots in minutes. The lighting provided is superior to a hot-shoe flash for the closest shots. If I was to wish for an improvement, it would be to engineer wireless communication between the flash ring on the lens front, and the flash unit in the hot-shoe. The cable connecting the two sometimes gets in the way.

I cannot get over how well this camera shoots in low lighting. I have never been a fan of how unnatural flash photography looks (even with an external flash), but with this camera, I 'll never need to use it. Even with limited light sources, this camera still takes shots as clear as day. My only gripe is that in low lighting situations the telephoto lens has a slightly harder time with autofocus. This is easily compensated though by manually focusing first to guide it and then pressing the shutter button again to refocus. If you're like me and prefer to do things manually to give you greater control, this won't be an issue at all. This camera has proven a great tool for anything from portraits to night sky photography or even slow motion video. This camera can do it all.
