I use this mic to record string and wind (brass mostly) instruments. The different patterns make it effective in a variety of spaces depending on whether you want to reject other sounds or include reflections. Versatile and great sound quality. 5 |

Fantastic design, looks just as awesome in reality as it does in pictures. Also highly function product. With an extension tube it can fit up to an NTG-8 and supresses everything from light air-conditioning to moderately strong wind. Shock mount system superb. Pistol grip isn't ideal for on-camera mounting, and not a fan of having to pay extra for a universal mount, but the blimp is excellent value for money, so it doesn't sting too much. Inclusion of a dead wombat was unexpected but very welcome - even had a hairbrush! Mounted it onto a micro camera for a shoot in the sand dunes and it handled wind and sand without a problem. 5 |
