Pinnacle Studio 24 Screen Recorder

The Pinnacle Dazzle DVD Recorder HD is a great interface for converting analog media such as VHS and 8mm to digital. The included software is easy to use and functions well. I'm personally using VirtualDub2 so I can properly deinterlace the video as well.

This is an excellent help to me in my overall process. It is fully customizeable and completely reliable with my Pinnacle Studio 22 setup. Using it increases my precision, speed, and overall stress management. And since video work takes so much time, that's saying a lot! I strongly recommend it. (It didn't work reliably with Studio 14, but that was an old software, so I don't mind.)

Most capture devices I have used create a jumpy image when capturing. However, this unit maintains a smooth image throughout the entire capturing and playback process. The Pinnacle Studio software that comes with it is also a product of AVID, so it works great with my AVID editing software. The Pinnacle Studio is limited in what it can edit, but it did more than I was expecting it to. Afterall, that's why I already had editing software. I now prefer using Pinnacle Studio as a separate capturing program for large edits and then importing to AVID for fine-tuning when it's needed. Most of all, I love that it takes signal from Standard Definition input as I'm not capturing High Definition signals. Too many other capturing devices of this caliber only had component inputs when I only needed composite.

A must have for me when using this field recorder, the only thing missing is a screen! LED let you know when you're recording and what inputs you are using.

This is an amazing mixer and recorder! You can you use it in studio mode or take it to the gig. Either way, it works better than most!

The Zoom F6 digital audio recorder is a solid unit for field and studio usage with a computer. It has excellent dual analog-digital converters and 32 bit float as well as 32 bit dual - 24 bit record modes which can be adjusted in most Digital audio workstations. This gives this recorder incredible dynamic range for audio. It can record at 192khz/24 bit or 32 bit float or 96khz 32 bit and 24 bit stereo mix. It also has a timecode input and I have successfully jam-synced a hardwired Tentacle Sync to keep sync with the other Tentacle sync units. Since it is so small, it is a great portable field recorder unit with the ability to be powered via three different ways! Four AA alkaline/NiCad batteries, Sony NP-F liIons (have used F770s and F970) and power banks with USB-C. This is great as a portable field recorder and since it is so light and I purchased it with the Zoom PCF-F6 carry case, which it can be worn as a belt or over the shoulder. Six XLR inputs make this an excellent value as a portable digital field recorder. I have used this for narration and voice-over recordings and am very happy with the results and workflow.

This is the best personal recorder I have ever used - bar none. I have used this tool on at least 5 different videos - The 24-bit and 32-bit float recordings are very clean - very easy to setup and use - makes syncing audio in post a breeze. I have even used this with a Tentacle Sync E for time code - just the best tool as this price point, bar none, in my opinion!
